^ depends on the model of Ghost. The ghost 120 uses the pro liner which certianly requires molding. The pro liner has 3 layers of heat mold foam. One next to the foot, one inside the liner and one next to the shell. Its this outer layer which really sets the liner apart from the comp liner. If you have it molded the liner will actually mold to the shell and give a very good fit. It is similar to a foam injection liner but of course not as good.
Regarding the mold able shell, it can be good, but we find we mold them less then half the time. We prefer often to do a conventional stretch. The issue with the shell is once you heat it up it will always give. This can often mean that the shell stretches further then is required. It is better to stretch the shell by hand that way you know exactly what is moving and by how much.
The new Custom shell this season is a slightly different matter, but seeing as he is looking at last seasons it does not aplie.
