Camp Of Champions Disrespect.

so, i dont know if anybody caught it, unfortunatly i just got to a computer and they deleted it. but, the Camp of Champions facebook page posted a picture of a kids (fake) pass (uncensored with picture and full name).... the caption basically said "poachers get passes pulled and will get hot listed. #thanksforcomingout "

it blew up on facebook getting about 70 people commenting about how COC handled this. personally i thought it was brutal. i dont know what they were thinking, but it made them look incredibly un-professional.

earlier today, they also posted a picture of momentum's lift line with the caption "Momentum's lift line is pretty crazy today. #wheresyourhotlapnow" this image didn't blow up. however, I found that was quite childish and apperantly alot of people did too. there were about 60 people saying about how they arent going to go to COC and they would rather go to windells. but that really isnt a big deal.

CoC will be trying to make an example of someone to put others off

all the south island resorts in NZ were looking to find poachers and were going to prosecute them for fraud, needless to say they found 2 people and they are going to get fucked over

that clears things up. I have no problem with poaching--but if you get caught you gotta stop. The kid obviously sucks at poaching if he got caught everyday for two weeks

It's total horseshit for that kid to poach, they should take his pass and cut it up... I pay $2000 a year for the best park i've ever ridden and some asshole is gonna come and just intrude on something everyone else has to pay for. Good Job COC, you did the right thing

Probably the funniest thing I've read today.

But to the actual point of this thread... It really is no big deal. Just because you're "in the industry" doesn't mean you always have to be super serious all the time. They posted a picture of an offender on Facebook, oh well, he shouldn't have dicked around with the company by trying to get a free ride. As for the Momentum line situation, they're just poking fun at their biggest competitors. Has nobody here seen the Carls Jr. commercial, where they just straight up bash Big Macs on T.V.? Stuff like that happens all the time.

I get it though, I would have probably ended up doing the same. However, as the representative of a company, i'd also want to keep out of vindictive/unprofessional stuff, just because it looks better to be above stuff like that, as you also acknowledge by your apology.

But we're all human, we have a limit, sometimes people cross it and we do not so well thought out stuff.

That poor kid! He got his FAKE PASS posted online with his real name on it! Camp of Champions should have handled this professionally by calling the cops and having the kid arrested for theft of services, just like what any other professional resort would do! This is an outrage! Next time COC, have the poachers arrested instead of letting them go, taking their FAKE PASS and posting it online because that's what professional people do. Gosh I'm not going there, ever.

it costs a lot of fucking money to build and maintain a park of that caliber that can be sessioned like that in a private setting. They can do whatever they want to deter people from poaching.

I support poachers. I know this might be a crazy concept to some of you middle class white kids out there, but some people can't afford 2000 dollars for just one week of skiing? That is the biggest scam of all time, but they can charge that much because anyone who skis probably has (parents have) money anyway because it is so expensive. There should be a mass organized poaching one day of COC, windells, and Momentum. I can hear peoples responses now "Oh no man, you just mow lawns and pay like the rest of us, they are doing a service to the ski community." Naw man they are making money off your obsession to slide on some fucking snow.

if you can't afford the best summer park in north america, you don't get the best summer park in north america. their camps wouldn't be filling up if its "the biggest scam of all time." they don't owe you a thing, and can set their prices wherever they damn well please. we're not talking about life and death here: it's a summer ski camp.

obviously people find it worth the money. i don't... so i don't go. pretty simple.

go find a patch of snow and do your own thing if you want. they're not stopping you.

Exactly we are not talking about life or death here. Its a summer ski camp. Thats why everyone should poach the fuck out of it. Go live in government camp for awhile everyone there is scamming there way into windells, MHSSC and public park for free everyday. Most skiiers are poor, but in the newschoolers community comprised of mostly Utah,Colorado, and East Coast 16 year olds there are skiiers who are born into better circumstances (good for them all power to being wealthy) so of course they all will rise to the top (bobby b. Sammy C, phil, hendrik, martinis, talkigton,, all camp kids) So pretty much you're pimping the system or getting pimped by the system.

Yeah support those poachers man! Support those kids who are not there legally so they can sue the camps if they get hurt in their parks! Stick it to the man and all those spoiled rich kids because those are the only ones affected by poachers. All those kids who do pay their way there, or go there for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity can suck it because its only a ski camp.

The coaches at Windells put up with the shitty pay and, until this year, housing that was so bad that many would rather live in a tent for two months because its fun, man! That's living the dream! Its not at all because most of the coaches are poor themselves and this is the best opportunity for them to have a fun job during the summer where they get to enjoy their passion of skiing.

While we're at it fuck those diggers also! All they do is maintain the park for the rich spoiled kids all day so they can ski a couple of hours.

Support those poachers because they deserve to be there. They earned the RIGHT to be there!
