A few years ago I was super into it, read the following:
Prince of Tennis
I still keep up with Bleach and One Piece, I think Bleach is almost finished (final arc?) and I'm going through all the Pokemon Adventures right now because I have way too much time on my hands this summer.
a translator/big time manga enthusiast in Sweden was charged with child pornography allegations because he had an extensive collection at home. The prosecutors were like "the characters look like little children, and the sex scenes are too graphic".
He was just recently freed from the accusations though, it was a pretty dragged out trial.
I'll check out Death Note when I'm done with Pokemon adventures if I have some free time. I've got a pretty extensive summer reading list, though. It's a graphic memoir, not manga, but I just finished Persepolis as part of it and I highly recommend it to anybody. Both parts probably take about 3 to 4 hours combined.
