The summer edits thread

Lately there have been numerous threads about summer edits, whether they be trampoline, bridge jumping, diving, whatever. I figured why not make this thread and filter it all into a place where you could come seek advice from fellow M&A'ers about your summer edits, and not have to make a bunch of new threads. To get the ball rolling, here is my first tramp edit of the summer

^ that was really good, did you just use a tripod for all those panning shots? I'm gonna work on my first summer edit tomorrow, any tips? It's just gonna be of me and friends slacklining, poolside activities and other random shenangains

Sick slackline edit! Though it makes me angry, I want to slackline really bad, but i fucked up my toe on mine last week and can't really do it yet. Moral of the story, wear shoes when you slackline, at least when you're doing tricks (namely tricks where you land back on the line, i.e. 3's, 5's)

Just a heads up, if your wondering why your getting a bunch of cracks and pops in the audio track, its because your making an AIFF through FCP. Import the track you want to use in itunes, then make an AIFF in there, then import to FCP. You wont get any unwanted noise.


Thought I would just mention it, because I couldnt find a solution for a very long time.

The song is not what's causing the shitty audio, the song is fine. What caused the audio to sound janky was that I didn't fade and mix the skiing audio well.

^ I enjoyed that. Not an expert on all this stuff but in my opinion it would of been better if there were more angles involved. But it was still good!

But anyway here's one i made last weekend of the Scottish DH Championships. Critique would be really helpful and +k will be given. Just don't want to create a thread for it so i'll just stick it here if the embed works...
