Editing Saga Pants?

So i just got a pair of camo saga pants, and i hate the big black patches on the knees.

When i un-zip the pockets on the black patches there is still the camo pattern underneath, which leads me to think that I could un stitch the threads and take off the black patches, so that i would have just a plain pair of camo pants.

So im just curious to see if anyone has done this, and weather it worked or not, i dont wanna end up destroying my pants.

Odds are if you try to edit them yourself it won't turn out the way you wanted. If you really like them take them to a tailor and see if they think they can be edited.

Thats an idea, im just wondering if anyone has un-stitched a pocket and weather of not it fucked up the pants.

your idea might work but watch out for them to be not very waterproof around the knees, just something to think about if you dont sell them

yeah i thought about that. it depends if they water proof before or after the pants are put together, because the pants under the pockets might be water proofed already

This is a horrible idea. I'm assuming the seams are taped when these are sewn. Removing that tape, and the seams themselves would compromise the performance of the piece.
