Best All Around Skier in the World (AK + Park) = Candide

Who is the best All Around Skier in the world that can kill it in AK just as hard as at X Games?

1 - Candide
2 - Chris Benchetler
3 - Sean Petit
4 - Dane Tudor
5 - Mark Abma


They need to have more competitions like the Red Bull Cold Rush with jibbing and big mountain to determine it.

i'd like to see pwhite do a few more real ak walls before i'd say that. most of his after dark segment was either bc booters or cliff/pillow lines, nothing that was incredibly technical to ski

You have defended Candide accurately while providing many edits that are classics... maybe not the best of but the clips are what counts. You are also educating some very stupid kids and that's always a good thing in action sports where kids really don't care about the guys who have progressed this sport to what it is today.

What about Rahlves:
-One of the best downhill competitors ever
-skiercross gold easily
-insane badass crazy big mountain skier
-alos pioneered the offpiste skiercross competition (its officially called "big mountain skiercross" but i don't buy that)

There are other things going on outside park and alaska, you know. Or McConkyey, who was awesome at racing, moguls, park, big mountain, snowblading, saucering, ski base, wingsuit ski base, pond-skimming, and most importantly, MONOSKIING.

I'll give you Candide - I'm as wet for Few Words as I once was for Hillary Duff. But Sammy Carlson? All around? Really? That is a joke. I remember in a recent TGR movie, Sammy says that he's tired of being called a "jumper" . . . cue a three minute segment with not a single turn documented. And yes, I saw The Grand Bizarre. Other than featuring the worst music ever (the line "mixing up the medicine" occurs no less than "move out the way bitch" in that other terrible song), there was not a single legit big mountain line. What I'm trying to say here is that Carlson is about as good at big mountain as Ian McIntosh is at park. BC booters, which are admittedly awesome, are not "big mountain," nor is skiing a 30 degree, nipple deep run somewhere in british columbia (which is very, very awesome).

Parker White is a good example of a well rounded skier, he slays everything. I'm not saying he should be at the same spot as tanner...yet... But I think he's one of the best well rounded skiers today

But seriously, as I said before, since when did "skiing" encompass only urban + park + pow + AK?

I know some guys I would consider to be extremely good skiers that have probably never hit a rail, yet according to this thread they don't even count.
