Im looking at t2i kits and one comes with the 18-135mm lens, a tripod, remote starter, uv filter and a 32gb memory card. The other comes with two lens, the 18-55 and the 75-300. Which is a better deal?
i would go with the first option with the 18-135 the card and tripod and remote starter. the 18-135 lens isn't that bad but the 75-300 isn't the greatest. but it all depends on what you are going to be shooting right off the bat. you will need to still buy a card and everything else separate in the second kit it sounds like.
how serious are you about getting into video? if you want to get serious about it, I would avoid a kit. kits almost always come with pretty meh products that you will end up replacing anyway, so it's better to invest in quality products right from the start. i personally wouldn't really want any of those lenses, but if I had to take my pick it would be the 18-135.
you might just want to go with the body and kit lens (or just the body and a different lens), pick up a good card and then look into a tripod. might be a little more at first but also much more worth your time
yeah. i don't understand the purpose of buying such a big kit if most of it is junk anyway.
OP, why not buy the body alone, pick up a 17-50, a few cards, and a nice tripod? then you aren't spending money on things you'll end up replacing soon.
It's hard to have both in one lens without sacrificing quality. the 18-135 id an OKAY lens, better than the 18-55 but still not great. If you got a tamron 17-50 and then like an 85mm prime or 135mm prime, you'd have much better results.
