Sizing advice...+k for answering

So I need a new jacket for this season and found one I like for super cheap. The only reason I haven't pulled the trigger on it is because I'm hesitant on the sizing. It's a large and I don't know if i should keep hunting for a jacket that's an XL or just get this one. I'm 5'6" and I'm not the steeziest looking fellow but I like a tad bit of sag. Just enough to go into the backcountry without looking gaperish but also not like a park rat. And also, this coat is Orage and I'm guessing that different brands have different sizings, etc. Any advice would be much appreciated and +k for any CREDIBLE answer. Thanks!

your right that all companies make outerwear that fits different. best bet is to check the orage sizing chart and compare it to a jacket you already own so you have a rough idea of the length.

What is the coat exactly? You probably don't need an XL if it's something like the B-Dog or Xavier coat, they both run rather long

If your 5'6 then a large should be right about the sizethat you want. Im 6'2 and have a xl jacket that fits me perfect for what i want in the back country... But it aint big enought to be steezy. But ur only 5'6 so a large should be good. But still check the sizig chart. Oh and remember that you can always return it

Try to find a store locally that sells Orage. Pop in and try it on to make sure. Also, if you don't need the coat until next winter most places will let you mail it back if it doesn't fit you.
