after the success of last seasons thread and the new season only a short wait away after the euros i think it could be time to kick this off

di matteo is set to be confirmed as the new chelsea manager, will he work miracles again?

who's your team and how well do you think they'll do this year?


i'm a sunderland fan and i think we will be top 10 and maybe just sneak into the europa league

Well said, and even though Liverpool had a shit season and are easily the most hateable team in the league, I hope they clean up their act and play like they should with the talent they have.

I was gonna wait until after the euros to start one since a lot of business won't be done until then, but good on you for getting us back into it earlier.


Arsenal are my team. I expect top 3. (And by expect, I mean I hope)


I think podolski is a great addition, and supposedly we've bid for Giroud as well, who could be another great player in the premiership. And I really hope we hold onto Van Persie

It's possible. if Ba leaves I wouldn't be ultimately surprised, but indications so far say he's sticking around. I'm really only worried if Tiote leaves... that would be the worst...

Arsenal here. Just hoping the rumors linking us to Giroud mean extra depth and not replacements for RVP. Shaping up to be a great season. Oh and to that Chelsea fan, you haven't actually signed Hulk yet.

I've always liked the da Silva twins. They seem really modest on their ability and also seem very humble. Great to see Rafael with United for another 4 seasons!

was reading that between Van persie, giroud, and podolski alone, arsenal's potential frontline scored something like 109 goals last season.

Also been reading that hugo lloris might be on the move to somewhere in england. Top keeper for whatever team he ends up at

Lloris might end up at Tottenham. I've also heard that Spurs will give Modric to Madrid in exchange for Nuri Sahin and 20mil. Would be a good deal for Spurs. I'm worried about Podolski. He's never performed at a big club before.

I'm a blues fan, love the addition of Hazard, Hulk move should happen in the next month or so. Front four of Mata, Hulk, Hazard, and Torres looks scary on paper. We could possibly land Modric as well, either way we should be playing a lot more positive football this season

Hoping for another title for Man U and a second place for Arsenal. Pulling for some of the mediocre teams and wishing shit upon Liverpool, Chelsea, and City.
AVB at Tottenham, I think Tottenham is making a bad choice. I don't think he is a bad manager, but I don't think he fits the job.

No one site is perfect. ESPN is miles behind, Goal.com and Bleacherreport are totally unreliable. Most British news sites don't talk at all about foreign transfers. I find it's best to use a forum with a diversity of users so you get rumors from a variety of countries and sources. I mostly use Goal legacy and reddit/soccer.

But overall the best site is: http://www.goal.com/en/news/11/transfer-zone. It's really the only English speaking site which covers transfers from all over the globe. Just take everything they say with a grain of salt.

Drogba didn't have that great a season in the EPL either, just showed up big in the champions league and the cup. Im a firm believer that Torres will show up this year, if he gets the starts as a lone striker with Mata, Hazard, and Hopefully Hulk behind him. He's also coming off an excellent end of this season with the dagger against Barca, the UCL medal, his golden boot, and the euro medal. Should restore his confidence and hopefully his top form along with it

RVP is not going to extend his contract. Lame.
I can't see him playing anywhere, but England. It doesn't seem appropriate for him to be in any jersey other than an Arsenal.

That's odd that you say that, his striking abilities kept Arsenal afloat for much of the past season or two. Don't know why you could hate someone who consistantly stays high up on the scoring chart, Arsenal desperately needs to keep him in my opinion, even with their new additions.

Far from a done deal. PSG already had a 50 million euro offer for Silva rejected a ways back. PSG will be a lot of fun to watch next year either way. Also Jan Vertonghen is signed to Tottenham, they're reloading really well for next year. And it's starting to look as if Chelsea won't get Hulk, Porto is being pretty absurd with the price. Apparently they might get Oscar instead. He's a starter in the Brazilian national side and is seen as the heir apparent to Ronaldinho in Brazil . EPL is gonna be so much fun next year.
