Vegetarianism

i saw a few posts from like '09 and didnt think it would be smart to bump them. Basically this thread is about fellow vegi's stories, habits, adaptations, and daily life that is affected by being said vegetarian. personally i am a vegetarian for health reasons (unable to digest certain complex's of protein) and IMO meat is gross as phuck.

i agree. i have felt so much better since is stopped eating meat 3 years ago, and i dont get sick nearly as often. all of the protein i dont get in my regular diet i make up with high quality whey protein which (with exercise) has decreased my fatty muscle a ton, and increased lean muscle even more.

ive heard that a humans diet should be fairly similar to that of a bear. mostly ripe fruits and vegetables, not many leaves, and occasionally meat or fish.

like i said, my body is unable to digest meat properly. specifically red meats but white meat and fish isnt great either

I've been a vegetarian for 3 months
basically for the same reasons. I've just become grossed out by how much meat we eat in this country and everything that goes along with it.

quinoa, kale, and all types of mushrooms.


its super difficult to find a complete protein that comes from a plant source, and quinoa is one of those. just buy a rice cooker and use that bitch to make big as batches of it.


coniferous veggies are super foods, and big ol' portabellos replace meat in tons of dishes.

costco is your friend.
