Every pair of skis that I have had has had this problem. I don't know what I'm doing, but my topsheets always seem to shed really quick and they end up chipping like mad. And now, the base of the ski is wearing down right in the center, so now when I hit rails my skis fuck up because of this. What am I doing to make this happen? How can I repair the bases of the skis?
I keep my feet unoccupied on the chairlift, meaning I keep my skis away from each other exactly for that reason. My main concern is really the base, though. I don't think I can flatten it out again because the center is literally... gone.
maybe you should wax them and focus on keeping you skis from hitting eachother while skiing. Sometimes it happens without noticing. My 4FRNT clicks have large spinter out the sides from accidentally crossing them off rails.
