Kaitlin is a family friend of mine and little girl with a big disease. A few years ago she was diagnosed with Late Infantile NCL. This is a rare disease that limits her mobility and sight. Most NCL children lose nearly all mobility and usually die by age 6.

Kaitlin's mother, Rebecca is doing literally everything in her power to provide the best care for her daughter who she loves so much. Care is expensive and she is always looking for help too.

Rebecca recently entered a competition to win a mobility van so that Kaitlin can comfortably travel to her therapies, grandparents house, swimming, etc.

will vote, i have a similar story.

an alumni from my high school was in a car accident (i think) and paralyzed from the waist down and in his hands. he is in a motorized wheelchair and many years ago (when it happened) a bunch of people had a fundraiser and got him a van that he can get into/ out of by himself and drive by himself. it has changed his life dramatically and he is a huge inspiration on my life. he still coaches voluntarily for our high school baseball team and goes through so much unseen work just to get out of bed in the morning and make it to practice, yet still he finds ways to make us laugh honestly.

you can learn a lot from disabled people. they're ridiculously inspirational, and many aren't as weird as first thought once you get to know them, just regular humans.

so the little girl is going to die when shes 6? that suckkks but why spend mad money on a van that will be obsolete in a few years? You dont go the the pound and buy a 15 year old dog. its just putting good money into useless crap

That's the average. Some can live to age 40 or so. Would it kill you to either vote or not fucking post? Or maybe do some research on the illness before you say something ignorant? It's a donation. Not going to type too much as a response here.
