travis may be bad ass in many different sport categories, but i think that all the sports he does take a lot of hype and money to become successful in..... Tom on the other hand dominated the sport of skiing, a sport in which a broke homeless guy could work hard and have the skills and drive and become successful in. he also is up and coming Pastrana has had has glory years and its not the time of TOM haha

I hear what you are saying and all, but in a sense Travis dominated snowboarding this year as well. He put on a kick ass competition and was the lead in one of the most progressive snow sport movies of all time.
Not trying to argue, just stating my case. Tom kills it too, by the way.

I'm gonna go ahead and play devil's advocate here and say a homeless person can't afford:
skis
boots
poles
bindings
helmet
outerwear
etc
Plus a season pass or expensive lift tickets and drive to their local hill.
