What skies should i buy?

Hey guys,

2 Months ago i started skiing again after 6 years. I've been snowboarding the time inbetween.

But i went riding the last day of vacation and wanted to pick it back up after this time.
So now i've been freestyling indoors (in the netherlands) for like once or twice a week and it's going pretty well and it's alot of fun as well.

So i decided i should buy a pair of park twintips! But i haven't got a very good idea what brands/editions are good for me.

My length is about 1.85 and 70 kilograms and i just want a pair with which i can advance on rails and kickers, but also have
fun with. My budget is about 250 euro more or less with bindings

The indoor hall is pretty rail heavy, so most of the time i will be railriding, however i want the skies to be able to ride kicker till a progressing of 360's, maybe 540's.

Could anyone help me with this?

If you're doing lots of rails, avoid skis with a race base, eg. Armada Alpha and Pipecleaner. These are excellent skis for park, but the race base is built for speed and won't hold up well on rails. Length wise, look at skis around 180 cm. There are tons of options. Not sure about prices in Europe but check out park models from Armada, Line, Atomic, Volkl, ON3P, Surface, and Salomon. Many others, but this should get you started. For every ski with a good review, there'll be someone who hates it, so just do some research. Hope that helps.

Hey Mark,
Welcome back to the ski world!

I'm not familiar with European ski websites but I'm going to use the website that has been posted by mike-o.

Alright since you will be riding mostly indoors, I would go with a fairly flexible ski. A soft ski will be a lot more playful on rails and smaller to medium sized jumps. K2 domains are soft and around your price range, very durable and have thick edges wich will withstand a lot of railriding. The atomic punx are also a good option; I currently own them and they are great as they are nice and light. I don't think they are as durable as the domains since the edges are not as burly.

if i were you i would start out with some cheap fischer or rossignal twin tips, those 2 companies have some good begineer skis for park and pipe and shit like that
