Underwater housing for t2i

I am looking into buying an underwater housing of some sort for my t2i.

Something along the lines of this, but not this specific one because i have heard bad things about it.

How deep are you looking to be taking it? I would highly recommend not using an underwater housing on a DSLR, unless you are getting a professional housing unit, with underwater slave strobes.

No more than 10 feet, but I had a feeling taking a dslr underwater would not make it happy.

Buy a nice P+S, their underwater housings can be found cheaper, and they will be easier to control underwater (settings wise).

Im a little confused, I keep getting results for nauticam and ikelite. Both are pretty expensive, but seem to get the job done.

what lens were you going to use on your t2i while in the underwater housing? and for pictures or video?

You could always use a gopro... lol

Probably a 50 or 28 and pretty much only photo.

ikelite/nauticam/aquatica are all housing specifically designed to use for shooting while scuba diving, they are built to withstand pressure for +200'. if you are looking at getting into underwaer photography ( diving wise) then the cheapest option to house your t2i and get good results would be fairly expensive ( housing: $1500, ports/dome for lenses: $3-400, external strobes +$900). if you just want to take photos from the water but not go further than 33' there is a company called aquatech with housings but i dont think they have a model to house the t2i.

Ya im really just looking for something along the lines of some simple going 20 feet deep or less.

Aquatech makes a housing for a 7d so that would work for me but it's 1800. Which is way out of my price range.

Doesnt really seem like there is a cheapish version for underwater shooting.

i have been also looking for one, sorry to jack the thread, but im just looking to film waterskiing in the water, not going under but just if it splashes on the camera, any ideas?

for a cheap housing method i think you are only left with the "bag" option. here is one that says it is good to 60 ft, you can also add in a flash on one of the options.

Mostly just do I can go in the river for kayaking stuff and be good to go, maybe a little underwater stuff with kayaking, too
