Hey guys, just made this new video. Had a lot of fun messing around with some long lens glide cam stuff, pretty stoked on it! Kept the color stuff to a minimum and just tried to produce a high-grade video. Let me know what you guys think!

Sooo fuckin smooth! some of the best glidecam work ive seen. Awesome job Evan! That longer lens gives it such a nice look (loved the opening shots). wish we still had snow :(

long lens glidecam = more awesome than wide lens glidecam

i really liked it tho, i thought a few of the rail shots were almost too close but the 'second angle' shot put the two together nicely.

personally i think the colors in this and the first run edit were the best. They were sick. The colors in karls edit were sick to, but would seem to get old if you used that grade more then a couple times..

Probably my favorite of your edits to date. The filming, the song, the actual audio, and the skiing just fit together perfectly, the colors were pretty good imo

Maybe it's just a stylistic preference, but "digital" colors are god awful. The filming is good but color-wise I feel like I'm watching COPS.

I wouldn't say I like the long glidecam shots better but I applaud you for trying something new and making it work well. What aperture do you shoot at?

This is one of your better edits lately. Not saying your previous edits are bad, but I was really impressed by this one because of the angles. It wasn't all following shots, but a lot of those side-to-side shots which I love. Good job, Evan.

If i add audio, its usually just from other shots. Most of the audio in that edit was natural but most of the lip sounds were added.

shot alot of follow at 24mm and the movement shots of the jump were usually 35-50mm depends on how i wanted it framed.

really nice edit but make sure to cut your shots right. Ex: in one of your shots after the trick u just faced the camera down into the snow make sure to edit that stuff out. other than nice job!

but since this has been bumped i might as well ask when you keep changing your focal length you move your glide cam plate forward right? or did you just leave it in the same place the whole time?
and those jump shots with that audio were so fucking incredible

I probably shouldve moved the plate, but I never did. My glidecam is never perfectly balanced, oh well.

Meh i mean its pretty balanced but like it might lean a little ya know? Skiing is already a very smooth motion so just a little add stabilization makes it look really smooth. If i ever use my glidecam while walking/running I always get it as balanced as possible.
