Here's something you fail to understand, your analogies are completely bogus. I have a hard time believing that even you believe the bullshit you write. You can't ever think outside the context of cultural relativism.

First of all, Lebanon is not a predominantly Christian country. It didn't use to be a hellhole, it used to be quite the example of how various cultures and religions can exist together in peace. It's only the new onslaught of Jihadism that has thrown Lebanon into limbo. Please spare me any argument about how Israel and the Jews are to blame for Jihadism. Israel was a backwater of around 100,000 Muslims when the Jews started resettling after the First World War.

Second, the US has never sent forces into the middle east to quell sectarian violence. That became part of the Iraq War after the initial occupation. We don't sponsor terrorists within our borders to carry out attacks against Middle Eastern civilians. Anyone over there with half a brain knows that all those soldiers can't wait to get out of those shit hole countries. Again, your analogy makes no sense. Besides the few dictators that have been recently disposed of, the Middle East has been dominated by fervent Islamic law for the past few decades. To say that Islamic law is backwards would be an understatement. If Islam is not reformed drastically soon, it stands to be the most retrograde force on Earth. The chance of such reform, such as Christianity underwent during the renaissance and enlightenment, seems highly unlikely.

Therefore I think it is safe to say that Islam has become the most hateful, retrograde force that exists in the world. It is the greatest threat to free society, on a level beyond the communism of the 20th century. The only option is to contain it as best possible. Most Muslims do not subscribe to this view point, but the fact that militant Islam is preached with such impunity across the Middle East, often with state support, begs the question as to whether Islam as a whole has once again become a militant faith. In fact, there are many Muslims who are good people, but they are paralyzed by their faith.

Another thing I don't understand about left-leaning persons like yourself, you seem to get a hard-on at every chance to make fun of a white Christian conservative, but yet someone speaks out on Islam and it's suddenly blasphemy and xenophobia.

I posted facts about the high costs that illegal immigration impose upon the US, which of course was met with the typical liberal counter of "they take the jobs nobody want!!!" I then posted my own well-thought out plan for fair immigration reform, which was of course met with they usual "Pfff let Mexicans do whatever they want! You're racist!" coupled with the belief that we have some kind of social responsibility to shoulder Mexico's poverty problem.

I tried to point out that it's more of a socio-economic issue than anything, not a racial issue like simple minded fools like you would like to portray it. But of course you only remembered the "shut up you racist Texan" remarks.

Your memory doesn't fail you completely. I've never railed against Mexicans. I love Mexico, I lived there for a year before moving from Chile and have explored up and down the Pacific Coast in search of surf (excluding Baja) since. You'll be hard pressed to meet more friendly, hospitable people than Mexicans (except for perhaps Costa Ricans). It is odd that you've come to a conclusion that I'm somehow ethnocentric against Mexicans based on some vaguely remembered thread from a year ago.

What you probably are remembering was me railing against so-called "Chicano" culture. Many illegal Mexicans work very hard for the little that they get, I have a lot of sympathy for them, more so than most bleeding-heart liberals who call me racist. Hell, I've even harvested olives with them late last summer when my friend and I were helping out on his ranch, they're good people although often very poorly educated. They work much harder than the swathes of Americans who sit around collecting unemployment checks.

The main problem I see with illegal immigration is the offspring of these disenfranchised illegal immigrants, who grow up living in a limbo being neither Central American or North American. They often grow up to become social parasites and an immense burden on the state. In short, often they either bolster the welfare roles or become involved in crime (MS13, La M, all that bullshit). This contrasts greatly with Mexican children born of legal Mexican immigrants, who are much more apt to succeed. I've written a detailed research paper on the topic, but unfortunately I cannot find it at the moment. I laid out a path to citizenship for all law-abiding illegal Mexican immigrants, one that would encourage integration rather than separation. It's too long to write out but if I find it I'll put it up.

Anyway, I don't really want to talk about immigration anymore. Too many things at once.

No double standard. Most of the individuals in the picture were arrested afterwards, and the UK has cracked down on all sorts of hate speech. Muslims, Catholics, Protestants, Fascists, etc, have all been implicated. Where an ideology is directed against another minority, and incites hatred or violence, then the law puts a stop to that and rightly so. There is little point in having freedom if it causes societal division.

I would advise you to read Hobbes' Leviathan. You'll then understand the perils of a absolute-right endowed society.
