seriously though, when  you just bump it against any little thing, it hurts like hell, so imagine if you broke it...

the "funny bone" feeling people get is from hitting the ulnar nerve that run very close to the surface of the skin near the elbow. It isn't because you bumped into the humerus. Breaking the humerus would definitely hurt.

The point is that "the funny bone" is actually a nerve, and not the humerus.

What he said. Also, the tip of your elbow isn't even part of the humerus.

i got shot with an airsoft gun and it hit my funny bone two days ago... tingled for a solid 5 minutes.

I recently fell on my humerus twice while agressive inline skating and now it still hurts and is swolen. Still tingles.
