I guess I'm posting this because I want your opinion.
I am struggling so hard to pick between the two.
I know I should "go with my instinct" and choose whatever one feels best.
I want to go into Mech or Structural Engineering or Comp Sci.
I received a scholarship at Montana so the tuition would be about the same.
I know UW may be highly regarded in terms of Engineering and Comp Sci, and companies are hiring straight out of UW at 90+K/year starting salary (but honestly, I'm not too concerned about money, as long as I can live comfortably).
I visited Montana State and loved the atmosphere and weather.
(I adore overcast, cold, crispy air)
Montana has a great engineering program as well.
It is significantly smaller than UW (20K students less)
Small town, close knit community
and of course world class skiing.
How often would someone from UW be able to actually get out away from the campus and go to say, Crystal Mt. or Stevens Pass?
Same thing for Montana, but the mountains are 20min away. (Bridger Bowl and Big Sky)
Thanks for any input or suggestions.
