yeah that book was great but i have to say the second 2 werent as good. (always the case with sequels) but i dont know if i see it making a great movie... i mean it will prolly be epic but never measure up to the book

movie looks like shiy from the preview, books were ok entertaining to say the least, decently written, thats about it, i like to take something out of a book- i guess one of the reasons im not a huge fiction fan, movies going to ruin the book i bet

these books were written for twelve year olds. i do not understand the appeal of the hunger games. the idea behind the story is pretty interesting, but its written SO badly and it's so fucking cheesy. i hope these movies are a complete flop. this is twilight all over again

meh if they have emphisis on katniss in tight clothing stabbing people, it will be good... if they focus on the lovey annoyng parts of the story may be meh

all my friends are obsessed with the hunger games and want to go to the midnight premier so i read the whole first book last night. it was pretty good, i wouldn't say it had terrible writing but i'm not nearly as obsessed as they all are. i'm on the second book now and still compelled to keep reading but i definitely wouldn't say they're the greatest books ever written. in any case yes i'm stoked for the movie

Yea I think the 2nd and 3rd didnt seem as good because of the slight lack of action and mystique. But never the less written just as well as the 1st

i would say its mainly aimed at younger kids but yes there are some things i wouldn't expect 12 year olds to understand. im 18 and i thought they were pretty good (haven't read the 3rd yet)

Well the Twilight series was absolutely terrible, the books and the movies.  And Catching Fire and Mockingjay were pretty shitty, too.  And quite frankly, the movie doesn't look too good..

Lord of the Rings = only good fantasy/fiction book to movie adaptation.
