Johannes Skøien (platepetter on Jibbin) had a near triple flat today. He is only 14, too! I personally think its crazy that 14 year old's are almost landing triples. This one wasn't even bad, he almost stomped it.
This is what happens when youve got the olympics as motivation- people are gonna push themselves way harder than we have seen in the past.Although if it means I get to watch bails like this, then Im all for it.
I feel sorry for you. How didn't it look good? I think it's sick to see big tricks, because other than dubs n trips, not a whole lot has changed for air tricks in like the last, 10 years. How old are you?
Stop using the term "stomping", he would've landed it,not stomped. stomped is when you murder the trick by landing it like a boss(aka tom wallisch style lol)
I honestly think trying a triple on that jump was a bad decision. The kid is sort of ok now, I talked to a friend of his and he stayed 3 days in the hospital with a bad concusion and some sort of lung damage, but now he is safe back home. Don't think he will ski more this season though.
that was hucked as shit, and a terrible decision that wouldn't have been made by anyone other than a 14 yo idiot who felt invincible.
seriously i'm sure the kid slays, and i would love to have seen the double flats with a good japan that led up to this, but that looked painful and stupid.
Wasn't hucked at all IMO. Real hucking is almost hitting your head on the jump, he was no where near that. Watch, he was quite patient getting off the lip before flipping.

He has nice kangs (better than the one in his video), and can do 14s.
I meant that it wasn't really hucked compared to most kids who do doubles/triples. Most kids who do dubs/triples almost hit their head on the jump. Heck, I've seen kids hit their head on jumps. This wasn't hucked at all COMPARED to most doubles.
That shit was straight dangerous. Call me the biggest hater here, destroy my 'karma' or whatever, but I really don't like the fact that you guys encourage stuff like this. Mad kids are going to get broken off trying tricks like this that they: a) aren't ready for and b) really don't need to do to 'progress' their or anyone else's skiing.
