hey guys , i convinced my snowboarder friend jake to start skiing about 2 months ago, so far he can land 360s 540s 270s out and almost 450s out

lol thats pretty good. i could 1 slide almost any rail or box. plus 2's out and both swaps. and i got brittany at the end of the season

Took up skiing right after Christmas this year. Riding on 6 year old Volkl twin tips that are a bit too short with boots 2 sizes to big. Skis are beat to hell but they were free.

Spent my first few times out just getting the feel for riding, carving, stopping, etc. My brother is a snowboarder who spends a lot of time in the park so I've been trying the park thing as well. Due to conditions I think yesterday was out last day out around here, but so far I can:

Ride switch
90 on and off boxes.
90 off and land switch
Been hitting jumps and trying to get the feel for being in the air
Tried my hand at a few rails and fell, but I'm getting there.

Other than that, just your basic noob bullshit. I'm not an asshole gaper, I know my place. lol

Next year I hope to progress a lot more as I'll be on new skis, be in better shape, and have an idea of what I'm doing.

I'm 23 by the way, its never too late to start something new.

i started skiing park when i was 12... i cant remember what i learned.  but i remember when i stomped my first misty 5, switch 7, and 2 pretz 2.  i was 14 for the jumps and 16 for the rail.  some of the most memorable moments in my skiing.

Its tight to see people starting the sport that are not all little kids. Like today i saw an old man prolly almost 40? rail sliding some boxes on twin tips and i was like "Fuck yeahh bro kill it"

Im 19, my first season all i could do was rail slide, and 360 pretty much.

Second season saw a lil progression with frontside 2's out.

Now its the end of my third and i progressed the most, i have now rotate up to 7's, grab 3's and 5's, 450 out, blind 270 out, 270 onto some jibs, switchups, and backflip. Next year pretzels and K-feds!

nothing cuz I didn't even touch a park first year, then I started straight airing next year, then the year after that doing lame ass spread eagles and tiny 180's on non twin tips, and this year still mostly doing lame ass spread eagles and tiny 180's. Next year will be the year though.

180s, 3's and 5's. Switch 1s are still one of my favorites even to this day. You don't necessarily have to put on more rotations to keep things fun. Just being able to dial in your own unique style can take a lifetime.

.... Or you can be a baller like Torin and do a switch 1800.

first season trying stuff I got back 2, front 4, 3, 5, shifty 5, grabbed 3's and 5's (one or two of each) and front swaps.

Last season was my first season and i didnt really spend much time in the park, but i could slide rails and do pretty much all normal grabs (mute japan nose tail etc.)

last year was my first year in the park, just getting the feel for being in the air, got some grabs (tail,truckdrivers and mute), started sliding rails and landed 3s

I've been skiing PARK for a little over a year and so far I can 720,540,360, and switch one one jumps. I can do 270's off too

This was my first year skiing park and my best tricks are Cork 3's, 5's, hand drags, Blind switch up blind 2 out (K-Fed?), and tweaked grabs on/off rails. I'm 15 mind you.

if you mean freestyle skiing with twin tips, the best thing i did was 180's off tabletops

if you mean my first time skiing every which was the age of 3, i could slide any box rail in the park, except for c-boxes

Last year was my first season on twintips. I got to ski for about a week. I did 180, pencil 360 and 540 and... well that´s all really, I was really scared of rails and boxes for some reason. That´s all gone now though.

stomped the shit out of a safety bio 12 and a sw bow and arrow rodeo 7. tried a misty 4 off a cannon and didnt go over well and i got a k fed and front 6 out and for some reason i cant really do backside i stuff i have to work on that all i can do is a backside 2.

Good post man. I am 24 and this was my first year doing park. Pretty much did the same stuff as you this year. Didn't really try grinding anything that looked like this --\___/--

I think just getting a feel for hitting jumps hard is going to really help me next year. I landed a few 360s but not consistently enough. I'm definitely investing in Crash Pads and a back-protector next year, I fucked myself up pretty good this year.

1st year was 3s and sliding rails. this season i learned grabbed 3s and 5s also switch mute 3 then on rails front 2 back 2 switch on two's out front swap some backswaps not alot and kfed. trying to get 2s on soon

I would say this was my first park focused year, and all i have under the belt is box slides and sketchy 180s. Hopefully next season wont be so terrible and ill be in better shape.

I haven't truly focused on park yet. Next year looks promising though. I can grab 180 with tail grabs. Hopefully next year i can get 270s and 450s out both ways. Spins up to 5 with multiple grabs and presses on any rails

This was my first year, I'm 25. I can throw various grabs, slide rails and boxes, pencil 360, can hit urban on sometimes, can do kinked rails and battle ship and kinks boxes. I started skiing park in like late January so I'm doing okay.

My first real season of skiing park was sposed to be this year but I only got to ski 8 days (including backyard rail sessions) and only one of those days I skiing in a park, soo I can railslide and 180, yes I know I suck.
