I bought a Vox VT50 a couple months ago used for 100$, I thought that I was getting a cheap modelling amp but I was wrong. It may not be the most powerful amp ever but it has awesome tones. I also have a Santana SE, not the best guitar in the world but it sounds good.

agreed. I like metal music, like 80s cheesy metal, but thats because the guitar players mix the right amount of shred with melodic playing. That whats makes a great plater. The idea of tension and release.

I'm a huge McCready fan, although is not insanely techy he's got some of the best melodic solo's. I also like his hendrix style.

I really like his stuff but it is a bit ridiculous, some real smooth guitar solos with a bit of shredding and tapping takes just as much talent as Tosin Abasi's stuff

Agreed. To be extremely technical but also have the ability to play slowly and with feeling overrides fast playing for me.
