6'0" 178LBS anchorage, AK

i have two sets of powder skis
11 surface one lifes 189cm with fks
10 K2 Obsetheds 179cm with look pvt 12's
i have my cousins old school AR5's but there only 170cm

being in alaska 90% of us skiers ride big mountain and pow, but also we have so much damn snow in town you can ride just about anything you can think of... we have a a park at our main resort and a little one at a place in town so mainly be riding in there would like to get into some urban though hopefully this is enough

surface usually makes a decent ski. both for park and pow. my friend uses them, and were in the northeast. where there is no pow whatsoever. thats all i got to contribute

90%? Fuck that. Fairbanks gets like what... 12 inches of snow a year if we're lucky. 

I have Rossignol Scratches, and they are solid. I got to ride them at Aleyeska once after a 24 inch dump, and they were a bit scary in powder, you always feel like you're about sink, but they shred the park and are super durable. I've had mine since like 2007 and I've yet to get a core shot. Mind you, I ride rails, and did most of my riding in Fairbanks, which has less snow all year round than most places have on opening day, so those skis must be made out of something tough.

line chronics are pretty good all mtn cause they have a bit of width to them and are moderately stiff but also ski rails well, but the edges wear down pretty quickly if you end up doing a lot of rails but it sounds like you wouldn't be

Watched a pair break last year. Guy came down off a rail, landed a bit backseat, binding didn't even release and the core of the ski broke. His tail was insta-rockered. Fucking line...

yea i guess there are some park rats here but its safe to say that we have the most mountains out of any state so the majority of alaskans ride pow... with that said i would only ride the park ski i find in the spring at aly or at hilltop... so i dint need an all mountain... and ive heard nothing good about line skis so some one enlighten me \\thanks

They are cheap, and they look really good on paper. Tons of kids I know got Line skis for Christmas or birthdays because they wanted to be newschoolers, and that's fine, but almost everyone I know who rides line skis has had core shots to the max, or worse. My friends anthems lost part of their edge, my buddys chronics broke, and both my friends with blends lost huge chunks of topsheet within days of riding.
I'd stay away from line if you're an aggressive rider, I'm sure they work great for people who can afford new skis every year though.
You could check out a pair of Rocky Mountain Underground Diams, they look so fucking sick. Park ski that can still perform on the mountain.

I haven't ridden a pair, but my friend rides them and he's super pumped on them. I love my rossignols, but I'd really like to buy my next pair of skis from a homegrown company.

yea i kinda want to go off a main stream brand... my buddy got a pair of Bluehouse there really light he's rode them a few times so far so im not sure how there durability is yet

basically have the same question as OP, 6'0 175, level 3 all mountain, intermediate park skiier looking for a ski to progress with that kicks ass on the mountain as well.

surface no times are so cheap and they destroy in the park, but they chip really easily.. not that it matters, everything else on my no times is golden.

oh man i cant believe im the first to say it.

on3p filthy rich. stiff, symmetrical and rockered. the perfect park ski. and will shred pow way harder than most other park skis.

I'd love to try a pair of them out. David Steele is one of their riders, he's in Come Find Us and Set Your Sights, and he rips park and pow pretty hard.

i have liberty lte and they are so sick they are buttery and they do not break i am very hard on my skis and they have held up great i hope this helped

i must say, your sentence structuring is great.

as for park skis OP, i've heard great things about ON3P. k2 is durable, line is durable (don't get afterbangs or stepups though) and i haven't personally tried them but i've also heard great things about armada. line skis are super fun for jibbing around and stuff though, noodles.

well I love alpha 1's, they got the early rise in the tip and tail so they're super buttery but also a little stiffer for big landing/jumps. great all around park ski, I'm also selling mine with bindings for a good price, PM me if you want
