I don't do drugs, but that's my opinion to make. Skiing is the natural high for me, and i see no reason to smoke bud. Anyways, i'm not telling anyone who smokes that they're wrong, cause they can make their own choices. I just don't do it. Just one word of advice to anyone who does smoke and wants to try new things. Don't try X. One of my older friends got really screwed up after he did.

I take offense to you saying that only 15 year olds are edge. I am 22 and I am still edge. I respect your decisions and I am not gonnna preach to you about anything you do. you cannot begin to comment on weed being a 22 year old strait edge. unless you have smoked it you probably have a false indication of what it is really like.....weed is like smoking cigaretts but a little bit more effective. it just basically calms you down and allows you to think freely without the concerns and stresses of every day life. The only side effects that i've ever had are lazyness and hunger. smoking weed is a lot less dangerous than drinking alcohol because it is impossible to impare yourself past a certain point....you guys need to lighten up a little.

most cigarette smokers say they can quit at anytime too. then once they try they know how hard it is. this has happened to a bunch of my friends so I don't ever plan on smoking again.

and of course smoking weed is bad for you. YOU ARE PURPOSELY INHALING SMOKE WITH BRAIN-ALTERING CHEMICALS INTO YOUR LUNGS. marijuana has the same cancer causing carcinogens as tobacco smoke. I plan on sticking with alcohol, which is also not too good for you. I've got nothing but the utmost respect for people who can refrain from using drugs or alcohol and still have a good time.

smoking cigarettes is nothing like smoking weed. and SVHucker, the difference is that WEED ISENT ADDICTIVE. although marijuana leaves do contain more tar than cigarettes, the buds (which is the part of the plant that is smoked) contain 66% less. it also dosent contain the chemicals or radioactive fertalizer that tobacco companies put in cigarettes, and THC causes the capalaries in your lungs to dialate, causing the damage done by the tar to heal quickly, as opposed to tobacco smoke wich causes the caparies to contract making it harder for them to heal, as well as making you winded when you try to run. this is also forgetting that marijuana smokers consume a MINISCULE amount of smoke compared to tobacco users, and the fact that if you dont like the smoke alltogether, you can just bake a batch of brownies.personaly, i have been smoking weed for years and neither me nor any of my friends have had ANY lung problems. THC is not brain altering, it simply modifys the way you interpret information for a period of about 2 hours. and you are being very hypocritical, seeing that alcahol causes more deaths each year than all illigal drug use combined, not even including DWI car accidents, and the fact the alcahol kills brain cells and cause many forms of cancer and obicity(which also causes 30% of all cancer) itself. this is all not my opinion, it is fact.

Daryll, that is because regularly, you have a small amout THC receptors in your brain (which are there because at some stages in development, the human body actualy releases small amounts of THC) , so after the first (or first few) times you smoke your brain produces more. and daryll, i'd like do back you up on all of your points and add that, due to lack of money, i have had no weed for a month or so on end many times and i had absoloutly no trouble stoping. now you try smoking cigarettes every day or drinking every day and try to do that, and tell me the results.

It's true that both marijuana and tobacco contain toxic chemicals such as tar, carbon monoxide, and cyanide. But marijuana smoke has more cancer-causing chemicals than tobacco. As stated before, it contains more than 400 harmful chemicals, which includes cancer-causing carcinogens. Marijuana smoke contains some of the same carcinogens and toxic chemicals as tobacco, but in higher concentrations. The amount of marijuana smoke inhaled per puff is two thirds larger than a typical puff of a tobacco cigarette. The reason behind this is that marijuana is smoked differently than tobacco. Marijuana smoke is inhaled deeper into the lungs, and is held there up to four times as long. These long drags force the rapid absorption THC by the lungs, the active ingredient in marijuana. As a result, the toxic chemicals in marijuana smoke can do much more damage to the lungs than cigarette smoke.

I don't care enough about this debate to do anymore research. Smoke all you want, I don't care, but don't try and argue that marijuana isn't bad for you. And just because you've been smoking for 2 years and have had so ill effects doesn't mean you won't develop lung cancer when you're 60.

marijuana smoke deffenitly dosent contain cyanide, and just because it contains over 400 chemicals does not mean they are harmfull. caffine also contains over 400 chemicals, as most compounds do.and your 'reaserch' that yo are doing is just copying propaganda, probaly word for word, probaly from the dare site.you control how long it is held and how much you consume, and it is a fact that on average marijuana smokers consume less tar, and i also reference back to all my points of my previous post. after all is said and done, if you dont like it, bake a batch.

Personally, i'm never going to smoke weed or cigarettes, but that's because it doenst' interest me, and i can't. I was born a premature baby, and my lung tissue is hella thin, so i can't handle smoke. anyways, all you guys with your statistics, great. I dont' really care. If people think mary-j is good for you, smoke it ! If you dont, don't! Personally, i think the marijuana has side affects that can affect the mind, but then again, i could be wrong. I have a lot of stoner friends, and they're completely opposite. if you read into the thread a bit more than you would see that most of the non-smokers arn't dissin' the smokers, just trying to explain why they dont' smoke and stating facts... and some of the smokers are doing the same - but just from their point of view. and if you have no opinion on the subject than why bother posting? your post accomplished nothing...

ive tried smoking and skiing, ill do it somtimes when im with a big group of friends, but most the time i stay clean skiing. and i think its funny cause no smoker is going to convince a non-smoker to try it over the internet and same the other way around
