Jib Life Game Teaser + Updates on Jibb (Jibbin 2)!

First off, here is the new teaser for the much awaited Jib Life. It is a freeski game that has been in development for a long time. I mean years. But they dropped a new trailer recently. Uploaded by my friend jiberish from the Jibbin forums.

Now, some news on the popular game Jibbin. I assume many of you have heard of this game, but for those who haven't, it's a 3rd person skiing game. Website: jibbingame.com.
As you may know, a new game is in development, called Jibb. It is a sequel to Jibbin. Currently, the developer Toum, or Thomas Champagne, is working on the game. But now, I am working as a co-developer on the game. It is pretty awesome. He has been posting pics of models for the game on his twitter (twitter.com/champagnethomas). We're working on the game now. Mostly the physics engine, not much of design and such. Anyway, just wanted to let you know that he has incorporated a ragdoll physics engine for falls. And I want to add it in to balancing on rails and stuff. For flailing arms and such.
So, that's that. The game is coming along fine.

Forgot to include a couple sidenotes:
1. Jibbin/Jibb and Jib Life are two separate games.
2. I won't post gameplay of Jibbin. As it is still in fairly early stages.

Jibb, or Jib Life? As far as I know, Jib Life is going to be a console game.
And me and Toum are making Jibbin work for both Mac and PC.

Jibb will be free.
I have no involvement in Jib Life so I'm not sure...Check their facebook.

pretty sure they were playing it on a ps3 or xbox360 in some of their updates on facebook..

and jibb should be pc and mac

they have said it will be pc/mac ONLY at launch, do you understand how much money it takes to get a game on consoles?

they were using a ps3 controller in that 1 video, but you can use ps3/xbox controllers on a PC

dumb question but i just downloaded the grabspacks from link in OP, and it saved to my desktop as packs.rar, now what do i do?

Open the packs.rar folder. And then in that folder, there will be many other folders. Those are grabpacks. Open one of those folders, and copy the file called cross_in6.b3d, and then put that in your Jibbin main folder. Then you can get custom clothes and stuff. Look on the website forums for more information...I used to be a moderator on there (shamwow). Some good grabpacks are: MaximW 3.0, Steezik 3, MaximW 2.

I legitimately just hopped on the job with Toum. I'm not sure what his final goals are compared to mine. I'll stick with what he said, though.
"You can count in months for the release date". So not years :P

go to jibbin file, then go to custom levels, then if you dont have one make folder that says data, then put them in their.

You have to open the rar file with winrar or winzip.

Im running parallels on my mac, I downloaded Jibbin' and I cant find the main folder its like non existent. I hhave all the grab packs unzipped and when I run Jibbin it works fine. What do I do?

I don't know are you guys serious, but who actually still believes in Jib Life? They've been off schedule for several years.. I hope Jibb is going to be as great as Jib life!

The reason it's taking so long is not because of sheer difficulty in coding the game. They have been behind just due to not being able to do what they want. I know they have been working for around 10 years, and that may seem like a lot of testing. Now, let me make a comparison here. I'm sure you all have heard of EA's Madden NFL series. Now, they produce a game every year. Seems like a short time compared to this, right? But they have been able to test stuff so much more than the team at Jib Life. Madden has been around for 20+ years, they have learned from mistakes. So they know what they want to do now. Jib Life just started up, they had to figure out how they wanted to make the game.
It took me over 1 year just to develop a tiny game. Just due to me getting frustrated and not making it how I imagined it.
So just know that this trailer for Jib Life isn't the product of 10 years of work.
I am fairly certain that Jib Life will come out eventually.

And as for Jibb, I'm certain we can make it as good as this. The physics engine in this is good, but they graphics are iffy. The shadows are rendered horribly. There are much more efficient ways. Anyway, I still think it looks good.

TL;DR:
1. Jib Life is going to come out.
2. Developing a game is hard.

honestly, jib life looked like shit. i mean the fact you could ski and do shit realistically was dope but the graphics/visuals looked like complete shit
