Tips:

-go to pinknames' profiles and post "inb4 Jwenz" in their pictures

-make fun of Eheath at every possible point, this seems to be popular

-look up old ski movies from the Golden Era, find threads talking about said movies and skiers in them, comment on how good things were "back in the day"

-get a new icon, preferably a .gif that has cats and a clever use of the NS logo

-go all out in your profile information, write such lengthy introductions, ponderings and detailed interests that anyone who checks your profile to see if you are legit will automatically assume that this guy can't be a newb scammer

-go to all the Top Rated pictures and write positive comments, no negativity

-go to a few random members' profiles and write "Legit seller, quick transaction, quick shipping, would buy again" in their feedbacks, and although these things never happened, the members might think they just forgot and reply to your feedback with positive remarks to build rapport

-use quotes from famous skiers in your profile and in your signature

You should be able to do all this in a very short amount of time, and soon people will think you are engrained in the NS community already and seem to be more trustworthy.

another great way to get attention, (just to add to mike-Os list) theme your icon with your name, it is what i did and i get a few laughs every now and then. especially because i originally didn't know that Stalin was a such a bad person, yes, i made this when i was dumb and i still might be.

spend time in nsg as well to just get a feel for what not to do

-Make a thread about whether front flips are harder than backflips

-Send people with coins by there name PMs asking if they can write nice things about you in their feedback

-Buy a coin for $50 to look like you made donations "back in the day"

-Say "nominated" in a thread to make it look like you know what that means
