Women's Skier-x athlete Langley Mcneal was apparently DQ'ed for wearing a band that said "remember sarah" around her thigh in the final

The french team protested it and got her dq'ed, now thats some bullshit

I am so disappointed with X Games ! The only American to make it to finals, Langely McNeal was disqualified for supporting Sarah Burke . She had a R.I.P Sarah Burke band her around her thigh and hair tie on her boot. The French protested and she was disqualified. Was XGAMES not dedicated to Sarah? SERIOUSLY... WTF!? Love you Lang!

Easy boys.. We obviously don't know the whole story here, so get off your horses for a sec. I've seen a bunch of athletes with Sarah armbands, none got dq'd. I also think the X have been honoring Sarah's memory and they obviously wouldn't dq an athlete for this. Maybe she's just using this to get people's sympathy or whatever, I don't know. Remember there's always two sides of a story, wait for the other before going crazy like 12 years old kids.

The rule she was "violating": pertains to wearing clothing or equipment to increase aerodynamics, such as tight clothing, tape, bands, etc. to make clothing more tight/aerodynamic

So pretty much they were saying the Sarah band was in order to be more aerodynamic

Well, the french freeski people? I don't know if there's such a thing, especially since we're talking about skier X, I'm pretty sure they don't train with the rest of the team. More like go find who was a french skier in this particular event, and then maybe you have the culprit (or one of them). Don't go crazy over the french freeskiing community because one or a couple of them are potentially dicks (potentially because I'm still waiting for the other side of the story). It would be like going crazy on Candide's fb wall, that would be plain stupid. Also I don't see how an armband would make you more aerodynamic, anyone has actually see the event? What did it look like?

there has to be more to the story. does it somehow violate the uniform code or whatever? cause i know for things like baseball you aren't allowed to wear anything shiny that could potentially interfere with a batter seeing the ball. is that the case here? are the french concerned that the arm band is going to somehow boost her performance, or hinder theirs? i do not understand

You're not "allowed" to wear anything that makes your clothes tighter

The rules for clothing are determined by how much clothing material can be "pinched" at certain points on the body. These rules are often ignored, unless there is, as in this case, a protest.

honestly who the fuck cares who tailored the clothes or what size the god damn arm band is, i have one, its made of cloth and honestly doesnt affect one fucking thing or make you more aerodynamic at all, its their to show her support the life of someone that this X-Games was supposedly DEDICATED to! thats pretty fucked up no matter how you fucking look at it!!
