Do i have a good start on skiing

so i snowboarded for about a year and a half and decided that was boring so i switch to skiing and this is my first year of skiing and i got a 5 over a small jump the other day and ive done a few bs270. is that a good start or is that like the usual?

What tricks you can do bears no weight on how good of a skier you are, in fact I recon it can stilt your development if you get into the park before developing basic techniques. Spend some time on moguls, groomers, and skiing switch before yo u start fannying around in the park.

it dosent matter if your ok in the park as long as u can ski other trails black diamond, dub black diamond,etc....

skiing is not about park. get out of it and just practice carving on groomers, moguls and trees. to many kids these days think a good measure of a skier is how many spins you can do on a rail.
