Is tanner going to ski some real mountains, on real snow, on real cliffs? Or is he on there because he is a big rider for red bull? I hope he is competing it would make it super fun to watch.

Not enough snow, but the snow that is there is/was very dangerous thanks to the storms who brought it..

I actually live 1h drive form Vars, it's my home mountain and yes, the snow is too hard and not deep enough for the skier to perform freestyle backcountry which as we all know requieres powder.. The snow is there, just not good enough. It's a shame, I like this event and meeting the skiers !

Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... pretty sure its easier to make an ice course, then to cover a big mountain line in snow.

Cold rush is a big mountain freeride event in bc. I believe you may be thinking of the "crashed ice" held in quebec and Finland etc, which is dudes on skates ripping around a icy course of bumps and turns.
