Skateboard helmets?

I have a brand new protec helmet and im thinking of using that instead of my usual sandbox helmet.. I don't see much difference between the two, so do you think it's safe to use skateboarding helmets when skiing park?

Why not? Might be a little bit cooler though. Try it out. If it works it works, if not switch back. I don't see why it would protect your head any less.

true.. I guess hitting your head on concrete is as bad if not worse than ice... I"ll try it out, can't hurt.

im pretty sure it's just a matter of insulation, helmets are also rated by speed(biking to moto DOT)

Ive got a b2 skate helmet and have had some reasOable slams in it and im still ok. Its a lottle colder to wear out on the hill but if its too cold just wear a hat underneath or a low profile balaclava

If im using my go pro i tend to use my skate helmet as the mount is better on that.
