who else smokes cigs and what brand do you like? I smoke camels or camel lights and sometimes parliments. I've been smoking for about 3 years on and off, shitty habit but sometimes I love it. Like a first cigarette of the night or day is awsome. And how bout not one comes in and lectures about how bad cigarettes are for you eh? i know they are bad, but I also know how bad a joint is too, breathing in the pure smoke while its still hot and full of ash, so don't be a hypocrite and say smoking weed is better for you like this asshole

I have a g/f that doesn't smoke.
It's a great social sport.
It makes you look cool.
Everything kills you.
The wonderful things I've seen late at night going for a smoke by myself I would've never seen without butts...
And the people I've met.

Yeah, it stinks, it's expensive and it kills, but everyone that is cool smokes. It's just a fact! I'm going to die of cancer, in a gurney next to a triathlete dying of cancer!

I smoke Galuoise Blondes, Benson & Hedges Special Ultra and the odd american smokes...

tanner rips mad butts. I saw an interview with him awhile ago i think it was on skitv.com (which is now gone) but he was on his way to a comp and had to stop and get some butts because he said 'cigarettes are the breakfast of champions'

I don't know if I'd agree with you on that.

But some of your other reasons for smoking could be considered valid if they're not outweighed by the negative effects.

my gf doesn't smoke.
and i would agree - sometimes i go out for a smoke at night by myself and i just sit (or wander around) and look at stuff like spiders and stuff...

nature and shit is very cool... even in the middle of a city there's shit to look at and stuff...

my mom plucks mine at night when im sleeping and glues them to her eyesbrows cuz she had a terrible camping incident when she was younger and her eyebrows never grew back, shes been doing this since i was 13 im gonna have to start chargin that fat bitch for my hair

Bitchassphatz I dont think its possible to keep that from the media if your other profession is smoking pot and everyone is all over you shit. I hate parents who smoke a ton inside the house cause they are setting a bad example and more importantly their kids are inhaling all that shit. did you guys ever do that thing in school where you look at a regular lund and then the lung of a smoker. its sooo gross. the smokers lung is all black and nasty. the regular one is nasty too but at least it isnt black and nasty

dumb stuff. it doesnt do anything for you. unless your into cancer.personally if someone around me is smoking i wanna leave, i cant stand the smell. also people just do it alot of the time becuase theyre bored and other people are doing it so they just decide to. i just wouldnt get into it in the first place. but if your into it im not gonna stop you,its your choice, i just dont think its smart

ant, how many little 7-10 year old kids look up to tanner? is that a good example to show them. 'when you grow up you should jsut get fucked up and do tons of things bad for you, it makes you cool' yea i know it's a typical thing to say, however it's true. those little kids look up to him like he's the king of the world and he's showing them what the king of the world should do. next thing you know pot smoking and cigarettes are going to become a problem for 7-10 year olds, not 11-14 year olds. and that's such an important time in your bodies life. i dunno it jsut makes me hate on tanner cuz he's showing such a bad example for the younger kids in our sport to look up to. and honestly, i don't think he realizes he has that type of effect. so i don't feel it's intentional by anymeans, i jsut think it's fucked up.

i wouldn't walk up to some little kid with a joint in my hand and talk to him. that's what he does everytime some little kid sees his segments. (look at how kids on this site look at him: he's so cool cuz he doesn't give a fuck about what they show. it's his life and he doesn't care what anyone thinks. that's not exactly helping kids act liek themselves, it's making them wanna act like tanner.)

That is completely way out there man. Way to extreme of an example. Not a chance.

While Tanner smoking both Green and Brown may infleunce a few kids to smoke pot, chances are it's not only Tanner. There's a ton of reasons why kids start with pot.

Besides, It's his life. And while he may be a role model, he doesn't have to do anything. It's his life. And if he believes that pot is great and everybody should do it that's his agenda. (Not that I'm saying that's his opinion. I don't know him so I can't say that.)

The bottom line is that there are a lot worse role models a kid could have than Tanner Hall. And your example is way too extreme and takes away from the credibility of the rest of your post.

I don't want to get into any arguments, but here's where I stand.

I smoke cigarettes. I like cigarettes. I know that they're bad for me. However, I know that McDonald's is bad for me, too. I know that if I ate at McDonald's every day, that would be a much greater health risk to me than smoking every day.

Case in point: Smoking is one health hazard out of a billion that gets singled out. Like Lanemeyers said, everything kills you eventually. If you take life too seriously, you'll never get out alive!

that's exactly what he does, he has the opportunity to effect so many kids in a positive way and he would much rather jsut not do anything. the jsut seems like a weak characteristic of his personality. i guess i'm looking at it from my shoes, if i were in his shoes, i'd play things a hell of a lot differently. instead he just plays the 'i'm cool and smoke pot and don't do shit' role. it's almsot sad that he doesn't care about any of the fans, he wouldn't be making money otherwise.

this is jsut my opinon too, i don't know tanner either.

and yes....he is justified by doing that, it's completely alright that he doesn't care about any of that shit. i just so happen to care, so i'm somewhat aoffended by it.

The main reason why i dont smoke cigs is that they cost so damn much! Well also because i would be slow as hell and i run track. They dont go very well together. I mean seriously, think of how much money you spend a year on cigs. Lets say a pack a day at $5, just for an easy number. Thats $1825!!! You could buy so much more stuff wiht that money. Like skis!

That seriously is the best statement about cigerettes. All they do is take days off your life. Fuck the relaxing, soothing, awesome qualities of cigerettes. Life should be all about living as long as you can, and cigerettes are opposite of what life is. Maybe I'm just high, and drunk, and have been smoking, but I say fuck cigerttes and fuck you all for smoking them.

I think just because Tanner Hall is good at skiing, he shouldn't have to change his lifestyle so hes a good role model for little children. Thats just rediculous.

I know he affects kids and I'm not even going to deny he might influence kids to smoke pot.
But what I meant was:

on the cost thing... yea, it sucks ass dude (especially if you don't like working very much).

I just role my own ciggarettes, it works out really well. $10 (and $1 for the papers) and I got a bag of tobbaco that will last me up to a month...


and I don't think I have ever met anyone who has just got off the couch/chair/whatever and went outside and just stood there for no reason at all and looked at the details. sometimes you just gotta stop whatever you are doing in life and have a smoke. very relaxing and could you even say spiritual? nah, i wouldn't, nevermind.

I smoked, but then I quit and I run every day. I didnt notice difference in my lungs. And I think smoking a cigarette while drunk is blech. I mean, that really hurts me! It burns bad. But sometimes, you just gotta relax and have a cig. I don't do it anymroe though.

i smoke occsionally, like when i visit bend Oregon i always smoek there, its so relaxing and fun and cool to suck in smoke then blow it out, so relaxing, and when your drunk it gets you mad buzzed....for like 1 minute, i dont know ill never get addicted though

ok does anybody smoke flavored cigarettes? If so what do you think are the best. I don't know a lot about cigarettes but I got a little one it had brown paper and it was vanilla flavored. it was very good. and it did have a filter on it

well, when you first start out smoking, you get a buzz. It's quite strong if you've never smoked before and you're not smoking lights. But then the buzz wears off and I guess by that time is when most people are addicted to them.
