Broken Foot

Broke my foot last night, bone in the middle on the outside (5th metatarsal for all yinz doctors out there). Anyone ever ski with this? how long time you were riding? I go back to school 4 weeks from monday so I ant to at least get that last week in.

i would say don't ride at all! you wouldn't be skiing your hardest, so you wouldn't be progressing in your skills, and it just slows down the healing process. it's gonna suck to not ski, but you'll get the second half or more of the season in. i have empathy for you brotha!

Yep, its best to take as much time off as the doctor says because if stuff like that doesn't heal right it can be annoying later on and hurt on and off for the rest of your life.

well park is out for sure but I'm still trying to ride, I would be totally happy with just cruising the last couple of days.

I typically respect the doctors completely but I feel like I should be okay if I take it easy the last week.

hhaah that blows dude i broke my ankle and tore a few ligaments 4 weeks ago an i am just getting my cast off tomorrow..... ill i have to say is good luck i went crazy.

I broke mine 7 weeks ago.... shit blows. I made a thread a few days ago about my remedies... check it out.


Is yours displaced or non-displaced? The displaced ones usually heal much slower :(
I started skiing 6 weeks and 3 days after the initial break. It hurt a little in a ski boot, but its been getting better everyday. I can hit rails, and plan on jumping again this week

its still aligned but they say if I jump the gun it can get displaced cause I cracked it through. I want to try to ride in 3 weeks. I just wanna cruise. parks out.

i broke mine a little over 7 weeks ago. mine was non-displaced but it definitely hasn't healed completely. from what i've read it takes more like 12-14 weeks to heal all the way. havnt skied yet but gunna go cruise some groomers in a few days.

Wow that is really shitty, sorry to hear that. +Vibes man. I would say just take it easy, rest it up, and don't go skiing at all so it can get a chance to heal. How exactly did you break it? Story time?
