Anyone studying/know of anyone studying Photography at Emily Carr?

Greetings and hello
I'm originally from BC (Nelson) but right now I am in Toronto studying photography. i've been here for 3 months now and I've realized that I hate Toronto and the east and I wanna get back to the coast next year. I'm looking into transferring into second year photography program at Emily Carr and I'm just looking to get in contact with someone who's dealt with Emily Carr who could share some words with me in terms of the application process.

Thanks for any help you guys have, and I'm looking forward to being in Van next year, cause fuck, Toronto sucks.

My brother is at Ryerson for photography. He also hates Toronto. Emily Car has one of the best photo labs in the country, but I heard a rumor at The Lab that they are cutting out the dark room from their curriculum... Depends on what your in for. Ryerson is also renovating their arts building.

I'm at Ryerson right now. Although the facilities and program are great, I just don't like the city - I'm meant to be in the West I've decided. Hoping to be able to transfer straight into the photography major at Emily Carr and skip the Foundation year!

I'm pretty sure Foundation year is mandatory... Make sure you have an awesome portfolio.
