2012/2013 US pricing should be finalized in the next week. Pricing will be comparable, but not more then boots from Full Tilt, Dalbello, etc...

To me they look identical to Full Tilts and Dalbellos, just different graphics. Are they? And if yes, then why would I buy these instead? Are they going to be cheaper?

No worries, good question. So, same molds are used as Roxa owns the molds and makes the boots for them. Other brands are looking to use this mold as well, but in the future if XYZ ski company wants the boot it will carry the Roxa name and also have the XYZ companies design, color scheme and logo on it. People will know it's a Roxa boot then with XYZ's brand on it.

Roxa is going to have from what I was sent to review and start to get retailer feedback, 5 models based on this mold that was used in that Booter. The difference besides graphics and some strap, buckle changes will be the models will have different flexes. 10 Being the highest then 8, 6, etc... Some will have that wrap intuition liners and some the more traditional liner. This particular mold again is the 102 width. The three piece boot... the overlaps in those pics are not the Booter molds which I'm sure everyone realizes.

It's the same mold, but some different hardware, graphics, liner options and flex characteristics. The Booter is pretty soft boot, but you can get a stiffer tongue.. but it's still the one boot.

It's basically about putting something new out there, but at the same time it's already been proven to work. Making it buyer/price friendly, but at the same time not making a cheap product that people would think is junk. Retailer wise, we also don't want to be in every shop and have a more exclusive feel to it, instead of walking into shop A and then walking across the street into shop B and seeing the same brands. That doesn't help a retailer. Having new options for them does and it gives everyone something a little different. I was able to show it to a few retailers this weekend and had some good responses to the boots and few poeple saw them at Okemo and also seemed pretty stoked on the looks of them.

Roxa is part of the Rocca group in Italy that makes boots, ice skates, inline skates. There are very few boot manufacturers (factories, not talking about "brands") in the world, so often times one manufacturer is making boots for 3 or 4 companies (brands) using the same molds. Look at Rossignol and Lange...both under the same ownership group now and in the race boot world, their race plug boots are the same molds with different graphics. Actually, many of the race plug boots across the different brands come out of the same exact boot mold.

Rocca which makes boots under the Roxa name as their brand owns the molds for boots they've made for Full Tilt and Dalbello and there are other companies they produce for beyond this. So, this is what they do and instead of just building the boots for other brands, they are branding their own line of boots under Roxa as well now, as they own the molds.

They don't make the Krypton's for Dalbello, but they make the Viper series for them. Dalbello has some low cost boots and more expensive boots, just like every boot manufacturer does. There are Dalbello's lower priced then the Booter. The Viper 8 is. It's expensive for companies to manufacture new boot molds, so often times the same mold is used across different brands with changes to the flex, design, buckles, liner... but it's the same mold.

Yeah i live in Quebec(close to US) and they have some Roxa at my closer ski shop called D-Structure. I will probably get some they look nice :P

Doesn't k2 corp. own the rights and the molds to the full tilt line? I'm pretty sure that they bought the old patents off of raichle, and thus seethe exclusive owners to that exact mold

Was gonna say this. Not trying to hate but u took a dalbello and full tilt and morphed them into one boot. Went with one of the comfiest liners on the market and called it your own. Again, they look cool and I'd love to ski in one to see how it rides, but are there any patten issues? The reverse buckle on the toe, the ft knockoff tounge. Also, I feel as if graphically there's too much going on, I'd simplify it. And doesnt nordica make their boots in Italy? Still super curious to how they ride.

Concerning the "Influence" series of boots, no- these are Roxa molds produced by Roxa. Roxa did not copy FT but rather FT is licensing a Roxa mold series for the "Influence" series of boots.

im not sure this would be the best idea on 4frnt's part. releasing anything in Roxa's freestyle line will basically be seen by most as copying Full Tilt almost "tic for tac" with the biggest difference being the absence of a toe wrap.

Funny how NS talked shit about Roxa, but said nothing when FT released boots from the same mold. If the boot is good, and the boot fits, who cares except for 12 year old trend whores who wear FT because they think it's a "freestyle" boot.

Almost every company is making a 3 piece boot these days.

Ha, why would anyone buy the dumb influence series when you could get these with a flex 10 tongue?

Honestly, the Influence boots feel like cheap pieces of shit. Buying boots last week boiled down to 2 boots. The Booter or a Nordica 3 piece. Everything about the Nordica felt more high quality except for the liner. That I replaced with an Intuiton anyways.

until roxa releases more info on their various new products (SIA/ISPO) I will also second this opinion. the influence boots (which are roxa) are shitty 3:1 lasted boots. 3:1 lasting is a complete joke in this day and age and a complete waste of your money.

What does this mean?

normal ski boots are 2:1 lasted- 1 shell for 2 sizes (1 shell for 26.0 and 26.5). This is the normal way to do things in ski boots. sometimes companies get super cheap and make 3:1 lasted boots- 1 shell for 3 sizes and this is what full tilt did with the influence series, which is a roxa mold series. they made less shells and more liners.
