One place has been open with a few runs, first started with a patch then one, then two runs and now 3. That place first started this season around october 31 but it to far away, like 3 hours away. My local place is opening friday.. so stoked.
I didn't complain, I simply stated a fact. We don't have enough natural snow to let you ski, we're operating totally on man made. I want it to snow more mostly so I can stop working making snow and start doing something else. They even cancelled/postponed a movie shoot here on the mountain because there's not enough snow.
I don't have to be grateful for the man made snow, I put it there. I'll be grateful when I can ski the real terrain at the mountain. Until then the only good thing about the mountain being open is that I can have a job, for that I am grateful.
You could if you wanted. I lived in a place that got 0.00" of snow annually and decided I wanted to ski so I moved. Plus, I haven't really been able to ski much yet since I've been working so much (again, I want it to snow for real so I don't need to work 12 hour shifts 5 days a week anymore).
