I quit smoking about a month ago.. well i've broken down and toked a few times since, you just gotta keep yourself busy and keeping tge greeb outta the house helps. On my bitchiest days noon-beers were the best cure.
and if you think weed's not addictive try going without it, just try I dare you. I didn't think getting into it I'd be high for 3 years straight but it happened, if I didn't have bud i'd always have a friend to smoke me up. Cleaning out my system has been hard but being sober actually feels good every once in a while.

i have drug testing for school, so technically i HAVE to stop...but seriously, its as easy as saying no. if all your friends are smoking and you cant stand it, try to find some alcohol or something to smoke like a cigar or hookah. dont make it a habit, but it can help for the time being.

Seriously so easy to just stop. You have no will power if you can't keep yourself from doing it. I used to smoke a lot then my friend got me caught and i just simply stopped without noticing anything different.

i gotta agree with this. I may just be a super "addictive" type person but it was really hard for me to stop smoking. Last time I smoked was 4/20 and i've turned down so many bowls since. All i can say is it gets much easier after you just except the fact you won't be smoking anymore. I also quit partly because of how much money I was spending on it and partly because i just wanted to see if i could stop smoking for awhile. Just accept what you want and move on, life's a high of itself.

It's not. I smoked every day for a year but I quit about a year ago and never felt the need to start again. Now I smoke once maybe twice a month.

just cold turkey it. i had to quit for a little while at the beginning of this year, and honestly, the first 3 days without it are the worst. if you can make it through them, it will get much easier. but you cannot break down and smoke in those 2 days or you will simply revert to your stoner self. good luck my friend

In the 2nd week of a 3 week T break. Its going well I know i could continue if I so desired but 3 weeks is enough for me to know, 1. Im not addicted and 2. I can stop whenever I want.
So maybe try one of those? Who knows you might like how it turns out. Pick up a new hobby or two? I know Ive focused a lot more on skiing during it so ill probably do it again when winter rolls around.
But if you do wanna smoke again after your break well..ur gonna get sooo ripped depending on how long ur break is and how much youve been toking.

this past month has been really hard, probably because I never had the desire to quit but I'm gonna have to pee in a cup in about a month here, every time I've broken down and smoked the next few days afterwards sparkin one up was the only thing on my mind.

Take a week off. Run/longboard etc.. Then try taking 2 weeks off while workin out. Then 3 weeks off etc.

you call it pathetic i'm being real about it, it's been a huge part of my life since I was in high school, I'm trying to get past that phase in my life and I'm signing up for the coast guard (which has a 0 tolerance policy) all of my friends smoke, half my family smokes, i fucking love green but everything I do is better high. I'm realizing that I'm a much more capable individual when I'm sober but I still crave it.

Cold turkey is easy if you give yourself reasons to quit.

I quit a little over a month ago, and it's the best I've ever felt. I still get down, but it's a lot easier to bounce back. Anyway, here's some reminders that helped:

1. I'm in college, I don't have time for that shit.
2. I'm a more sociable and generally happier person.
3. Weed achieves bliss, not happiness.
4. I have more energy and focus to devote to my passions
5. Weed achieves bliss, not happiness.

i did. went from smoking every day to quitting cold turkey all second semester because of drug testing. it was easy as fuck.

it's not addictive. habit forming just like any enjoyable activity, yes. but stopping isn't hard at all if you're honestly trying to.

Didn't sleep for 3 days the first time I stopped smoking herbs. 72 hrs awake. No amphetamines or caffeine in my body. I just wanted to fucking sleep and I couldn't.

So to everyone saying man the fuck up or you're a pussy, I hope it's just to convince him to stop because otherwise you fail to understand the fact that the ganja experience is different for everyone.

totally agree with you.
my appetite works in a very similar way to your sleep patterns; without getting a little stoney i have a hard time getting down much of any food. consciously i know i need food, but it's not hard for me to go from waking up until after i get off work at 7 or later without eating if i go sober throughout my day.

This is true. I tend to have the problem of smoking and as I come down, like the majority of people, I crash and become tired. If I stay up through said crash and don't fall asleep, I become "super" awake and it becomes next to impossible to fall asleep for the next few hours.

This happened to me last night. I laid in bed for two hours before I gave up, got a glass of milk and vaped a few hits. I fell asleep within 10 minutes.
