Afghan_kushI think I’m going to go to uni next year. Not because I want a degree, but because I don’t want to do anything for a few years just chill out and rellaxxxx. Travel overseas a few times a year and not work. God I can’t wait. I just wanna sleep in till 11 everyday and live off brunch at cafes
Young_IMPCIt’s a bit cheaper and less stressful to just kinda bum around if that’s what you’re looking for. I really wanted to do well in school, so I studied furiously, took on research, internships, did the soul crushing job search, gave up early and went to grad school, and am currently completely burned out. Learning’s great, but be careful with your expectations.
Afghan_kushWhere do I find a hot gf who listens to underground techno
boozerJust moved to Boston to further my stand-up career. Performing in the salt lake/Portland/Denver circuit was fun but I had to branch out, definitely gonna miss the skiing.

safarisami complain about not being able to ski because of my job, but i also didn’t ski a lot when i worked at the ski shop because of my job. 14 in. at Bridger.
No.QuarterFuck you. I was trying to ignore how much it snowed at Bridger today.
Can't fucking wait for the week to be over so I can ski leftover chop on Saturday. I'm feeling motivated to not get drunk on friday, wake up early and do as many hikes as I can.

DeebieSkeebiesAnother weird storm. Super slabby, i just broke off so many wind slabs out past milly gates on low and steep angle aspects.
oldmanskiBe safe out there!
DeebieSkeebiesLemme know if you ever make it to Wiseguys SLC, id happily come out to support a NS'er.
Storm riding today, lezgo.

dudesh1tI hope you got a lot of racist material. i mean bahstin loves their racist humour and the clubs up there are rough.
J_ChristophPeople that refuse to use their blinker can go to hell
DeebieSkeebiesfor real, I think UT is a culmination of the nations worst driving habits from both coasts; west and east. I dont think anyone who learned how to drive in Utah knows the proper flow of freeway/interstate traffic.
Milly laps all morning were pretty tight. The wind needs to die down a bit so that some of this snow actually accumulates, still scraping the bottom of the past weeks frozen concrete layer of windbuff. Not to mention anything thats steep is sluffing and breaking off decent-sized storm slabs all over. Definitely ski with some of your avy gear inbounds this weekend, folks.
Anyone UT based also have info on why LCC got shut down all day today? They must have brought down something big in the canyon, haven't seen many UDOT updates or anything.

BigPurpleSkiSuitFrom everything I see on Utavy, it looks like the avalanche conditions are just fucked up scary right now
boozerHaha I can definitely say that hasn’t been my experience so far, I’ve performed at about a dozen clubs since I’ve been out here and haven’t seen any racist nonsense. I’ve seen a lot of Hardos think they can pull off Kobe jokes and BOMB. The ones that do talk about race are hilarious though. Boston has been the last stronghold for comedians in a way. People don’t get as offended out here as they do on the west.
dudesh1tjust curious what comedians are you a fan of? is your brand of comedy influenced by any comedians in particular? and what type of style is your comedy?
just asking bcuz i am a huuuge fan of stand up comedy

Titus69I’m willing to bet there was a lot of activity on any aspect and probably just a shit load of slides from all the gazex guns lining from superior back towards twin lakes pass, it’s so damn crusty on that southern aspect. off of fucking crescent I was seeing cracks in front of me on sun 30 degree slopes, luckily not huge slabs yet but would be spooky to have that running at your heels on a steep run. What’s really spooky is seeing this utavy guys insta (spindrift65) and he was out in mill D north where my class was yesterday and where we saw just light winds and immediate crust anywhere but trees, and N-NW aspects, now the runs we took are scattered with baby wind slabs that are breaking super easily.
d00dThere was like 6 avys on the lcc road is what I heard. I've been going up to Brighton a lot lately, think I got in 6 days this week. A lot of it was solo dolo so if anyone needs a buddy lemme know because mary's gate can be scary without a partner and the park is fire right now. Same goes for solitude.
A lot more free time when you don't have a lady friend anymore. I don't think I've skied 6 days a week in years or ever before, and I'm going to try keeping that up. Monday is the only day I can't ski. I feel like I'm in a very special spot in life right now and I just need to take advantage of it. Self-loathing about my relationships is one of the most destructive things I've ever done. The realization of your mistakes is important, but the abyss of self-hatred is another. Crazy the amount of fulfillment you feel when you don't sleep till noon everyday, are not constantly chasing girls for once, not being a penny pinching stuck up, say yes to way more opportunities, talk to my family more, and pulling back a bit on work. Been at 52+ hr/w since June and some were 70+, but now dropping down to 46+ and want to plan a trip some time soon.
Feels good to just do me for it's been too long. Tomorrow should be a good day skiing for anyone on the fence in slc. Yea this thread is nice to spew your life into once in a great while. Hope I inspired someone to go skiing more because sometimes it doesn't take much other than putting a bit of focus towards it.
taylornickyHas anybody else in here lacerated their spleen and then constantly got/still get sick (colds, flus) afterwards? I know the function of the spleen and that it makes sense but want to know I’m not alone/if it subsides after time. I usually never get sick and now it’s almost constant.
DeebieSkeebiesWill do, i usually ski there a few days a year, kinda grew up skiing there cuz of my sisters being on the ski team there. Its a fun place with cool nuggets to ski. Hopefully tomorrow brings something better but stay safe out there wherever you go, lads.

TnskiI had my adrenal glands removed and they took out my pancreas and another surgeon had to put it back in but it wasn't the same. Ten years of chronic nausea and pain that was beyond belief. They symptoms would go in cycles but still. Anyway not my spleen but no fun none the less, In time it'll heal so keep your tips up in the meantime.
safarisamI fucking love having a ski daddy
BdoobzBut does he wear Spyder and ski on Soul7s like all the other ski dad(dy)s?
safarisamFuuuuuuck no. He takes me sledding and absolutely rips. Actually one of the best skiers I’ve met, it’s a rally weir dynamic because he’s working on his BA and I’m
working on my MA

snowdaynwI honestly wonder if anyone ever has been genuinely impressed by skiing.
