MinggToy Story 4 totes made me cry
TnskiThanks for the tip. Itl be I nice change from the heavy pnw snow. Hoping to ski m,w,f during a stormy week. Looks like 84 goes from i90 straight to slc too.
TnskiDont have an icon pass and skiing on weekends is against my religion thankfully but probably should ski alta/snowbird one day since I'll be there. I dont know if its true but I thought I read somewhere alta is skis only no sniwboarders?
DeebieSkeebiesCome on out. Despite all the stuff we bitched about this year, I can safely say I had some real memorable days this season and it was an honor being out there during on of the best winters I can recall. So much pow. This will be the first winter in my life since I was probably 16 that I haven't worked a resort job or at a resort during the winter and Im actually looking forward to it., Huge emphasis on studies though. I wouldn't mind if its a good year again or if its a bad year but I plan to be studying and skiing my ass off once im done with rehab
Titus69It's not as big as snowbird but it's just a fun place and has great vibes, the park isnt insane but its just a ton of fun rails and tubes to hot lap. On a pow day most people ski off the Crest and Millie lifts which provide and you just gotta know where to go and go early (crowds dont get too bad never went on a weekend though) but skiing out of the gate on the great western lift you can pretty much find fresh lines open to close, (people are scared cause it's a "BC zone" I spend 99% of my 10-12 pow days on it. Offers a decent bowl with a sometimes sketchy and avy prone backside, but go along the ridge between that and the bowl and through the woods and you'll find a hidden gem of probably 2-3k foot wide zone of open aspens that are low angle and stupid fun. Even my epic April storm days at alta didnt provide the nonstop smile that lift did for me, fuck this is making me wanna go back, idk if itll upload but heres a taste of GW.

OregonDeadHell yeah! Feet of pow sounds awesome. I am down for some BC laps too!
Profahoben_212Ha I saw that last night! Pretty decent movie. I'm guessing you cried at the end?
BigPurpleSkiSuitSnowbird was a bit moist today. No idea how they plan to keep enough snow for 4th of July
DeebieSkeebiesWe"re on track with my foot, but Im getting a 2nd surgery to get the pins out. No way in hell do I wanna be awake for that shit, I got the stitches taken out today and I almost fainted lol. Still cant feel anything in my toe though. It looks as meaty and gnarly as ever.
The doc kinda broke down the recovery process a bit better for me. Its gonna be a long haul with hurdles, I may not be able to get back to work this summer or back to sport for a while so my main focus is mindfulness. Today was good but kinda bummed me out too.

MinggI’m a fuckin weirdo but okay lol
Titus69Are all the kimbosession edits out? Hoping there another trilogy of edits coming soon like years past.
Chubz.I don’t think freange has dropped his edits yet
Titus69Damn dude that sounds very cringey too be awake for best of luck, but never bad to just do some self care for a while, when do you think skiing will be a thing you can do?
DeebieSkeebiesSkiing will be an adjustment but not out of the question which is great. It'll be interesting to see whats possible and whats gonna have to be toned down a little bit but even if I can't feel a good portion of my foot and its uncomfortable, I'll suck it up for a few hours just to get out there and slide around. I'm hopeful that we can get back to 100% but also accepting of the fact that we'll need to make some adjustments and maybe slow down a bit when it comes to activity which is fine. It's a small area of injury for the most part but damn it really fucked a lot of shit up permanently.
oldmanskiIf you are doing the workers comp gig, you will get enough cash to go get you some custom fit boots to help with your toe.
DeebieSkeebiesWhat a blessing that is, and extremely appreciative of it. Very minimal expenses including my truck, school, and helping my parents out with their mortgage payments when they need so all of it is going straight into the bank and wont be touched till we need it

Titus69Just hiked up pioneer peak at Brighton for some good ol chute skiin and damn that was a challenge, climbed the skiers west face of it and then up along the ride with still 3+ foot cornices and into a random skiable chute I found into the bowl of lumpy snow. Said sorry to my skis and did some candide-ing from patch to patch to the bottom of the lifts after the 2-3 hour hike. These bootpacks I've done recently have been mentally & physically challenging with some severe risks but getting to the top then skiing down is one insane feeling.
BigPurpleSkiSuitDude, you do you, but I'd highly recommend going with a partner

OregonDeadGo with him then. It can be tough to get people to do that sort of skiing with you. Heck it’s hard to get partners mid season.

OregonDeadYou have a green name on NS so that kinda goes without saying. Lol (:
BigPurpleSkiSuitI'm thinking we might see tanner hall up at the bird on the 4th
TnskiNice thing about skiing alone is you can go wherever you want when you want and dont have to go in the lodge or leave early.
