Titus69weather.com says 3-5 tonight and 3-5 tomorrow with the storm going into the night for tues/wed, hoping brighton has a 4 inch+ report in the morning, if i get 3 more pow days in a row ill be a happy boy, however looks like it might be some creamier snow, not as blower as this past one.
DeebieSkeebiesToday was mellow but the course still has a ton of snow, lots of rain and snow melt washing shit out so we're going around shoveling slop off of the cart pathways and getting elk/deer shit cleared off, clearing drains for run-off, and other stuff to keep us busy. Got cut loose earlier today around noon and bossman said we're kinda on standby until tomorrow AM, he'll let us know if we dont need to come in tomorrow. If thats the case, then ill probably head up to The Bird, this storms looking very tasty again
Chubz.feel like i need to kick my posting into gear, i wanna hit @th1337 by the end of the year
Chubz.ahhhh i'm a poet and didn't know it ;)
this was such a mingg thing to say
DeebieSkeebiesHope everyone is safe today, Peruvian side at Snowbird slid big-time and its serious enough to where all the access gates to everything today are getting closed.
Titus69Yeah I just got home from Brighton and I'm not sure about milly side but that ridge I toma'd on was sketch, like 6" slid 1/3 down from where most of us drop when my friend stomped the cornice. Otherwise the snow fields were so fucking good, like usual I trecked out far first and once again met a friend of a friend out there, just creamy surf through the trees this morning was awesome. Sad to be done with GW for the season cause I'll probably have an alta pass next year so probably won't be at brighton except for night skiing.
Really hoping alta fills in overnight cause after this heavier snow I'm not sure I wanna ski anything that was open today, tomorrow, pretty slabby snow so steep wont be to great for it.
MinggQuestioning the quality of the training program I am in after watching an instructor and trainee get into a verbal arguement over pretty much nothing. The trainee assaulted the instructor by throwing a 10 pound book at her like 6 feet away and I think police were on their way when we left... luckily I am not working for the company who hosts the training, because some of them are questionable at best. There have been 2 people kicked out in two days both with a scene involved... sweet
OregonDeadwoah what kind of industry are you getting into?
MinggNursing. I’m in a CNA certification class lol
DeebieSkeebiesThey ended up keeping a few gates in the gad valley/lower gad valley open but a lot of worthwhile stuff that could have been slabby got closed which was what we were lapping all morning. All I saw were a group of patrollers at the top of Gadzoom with a few dogs and probes out and it definitely didn't seem like a training exercise. Didnt sound like anyone got caught which is good, but they either just came down off the tram or headed out towards Peruvian from that side, it happened really quickly i guess. Didnt wanna pry much cuz they were scrambling a bit to get over there. I dont expect a whole lot to be open tomorrow or if they do, on time at least.
Insanely good skiing before that though, ive never gotten a cirque rope drop to myself before so that was pure bliss, shout out to the old dude who shared it with me.
Titus69I at least wanna ski keyhole tomorrow, cause I can ski both alta and bird tomorrow with one pass ;). But really just dont wanna ski peoples shit from today, steep open cream is all I ask, unless the snow turns to fucking blower.
DeebieSkeebiesIt appears that corn season is quickly approaching this week/weekend, bud. I'd hit it early af, its still good up there. LCC was pretty quiet for the most part today, I can't imagine a ton of people were up at Alta today.

MinggWell at least they got one trophy lol
Chubz.Man I just watched Refresh for the first time in probably over 3 years and it was like watching it for the first time. Brought back so many memories of skiing as a teenager. I can't believe it's been 10 years since that movie came out. Seeing how young everybody was in that is insane. I'm filled with so much nostalgia right now. I miss that feeling skiing used to bring me as a little kid logging on NS and learning all about the culture of freeskiing. Makes me feel lame being all jaded on here sometimes. Growing up sucks. I definitely took those years for granted but its hard not to when youre that age. Refresh will always be my favorite ski movie. That shit is timeless. The best ski movie ever in my eyes.
DayManGirlfriend made the mistake of asking if I would choose her or skiing, she did not like my answer lol
