I know going into this thread, I am going to receive a lot of hate from fellow members. I know one particular jab thrown at me will be "Get off your alias! Pussy!". Well, why should I? Anyway, without further adieu, I present:
NS: The Biggest Hypocrisy of the Internet!
Now, before I start listing reasons why this is a huge base of fake feelings, I want to say that this is not aimed at all members. In fact, it is only aimed at about 6-7, but those members have such power of here that they basically "run this town" so no one will get on them about this.
Now, my presentation,
Reason #1: Jiberish Clothing Company. This company has caused so much frustration and anger between members, I don't understand why it is one of the major players on the site. Now, don't come saying "Oh, yes I agree. Why pay $70 for an oversized sweatshirt?" No, I own a few peices of Jiberish myself so I am not writing this because I am not a fan of the clothing. I am saying this because so many members on here have it both ways. "Yes, I dislike Jiberish because they are overpriced, but when the new Ignant drops, I am purchasing it in the biggest size!" It's a joke that you think that way. Moving on.
Reason #2: Professional skiers on the site. Again, I am not writing this because I dislike professionals. In fact, how can you? They let you look at their next year's sponsor's equipment before it drops because of their edits and what not. Also, they drive you to progress your riding all the time. Anyway, many members on here claim they don't appreciate sponsors and pro's because "Oh, they turn skiing into a big market scam! They only ride for money and nothing else!" Are you kidding? I very much doubt they would be out practicing day after day and riding with fellow pro's for just money alone. Then, these members "ride" the pro's when a new edit comes out or if they make a thread promoting whatever. If anything's a scam, it's you people claim 2 opposite beliefs.
Reason #3: Snowboarders. Many of you claim to dislike snowboarders, but when they are wearing Saga or Jiberish, they're ok. Definitely a contributing factor into making this thread. Moving on.
Reason #4: Tom Wallisch. I know alot of you are saying "You already mentioned pro's!". Well, this man deserves a special mention on my list because he is the main man I am talking about earlier. If anyone ever says something about Tom that shows their like for the man's riding, they are immediately flamed for their beliefs. Now that just does not make very much sense. The man is good at riding and winning and always has a good attitude. What is not to like? Why do a lot of members continually bash on him? Oh, but then when Jiberish drops an edit with him in it, everyone is on his side again. Moving on.
Reason #5: Non-Ski Gabber. Now I have not been on the site long, but I have noticed a few things about NSG. You either love it or you hate it. Or both because you are trying too hard to be liked by everyone. People complain about how "Oh, NSG is ruining the site! It's a shithole now!" Now, I really don't care what happens to NSG, because it's NSG, but a lot of the members who claim these beliefs are usually the ones who make it a shithole. Do you really think complaining about how bad it is is going to help? Moving on.
Reason #6: Styles. This is a huge one. The classic battle of skinny pants versus baggy pants and tall-fitting apparel. Does it matter? I see people complain about how Jossi Wells now wears skinny pants and is copying Max Hill. In fact, on this site, everyone who wears skinny pants is apparently copying Max Hill. Max Hill was not the first to dress that way (No offense to Max. The dude rips and I love his riding) I don't know who was, but it doesn't matter. Anybody who wears anything skinny or baggy is copying the person who did it first. And even then, it's not copying. There is a little thing called influence. Moving on.
Reason #7: The classic thug riding. Now, this is a little add-on to the styles portion above. Again, I am not writing this part because I dislike the thug look because I dress like that all the time on the mountain. Members flame other members for wearing taller apparel and then praise E - Dollo when he comes out with a new B&E. Again, does it matter if they wear baggier things? You don't know the kid who you're bashing on. It's the internet. Moving on.
Reason #8: Trolling. I admit, I have done a little bit of trolling in my past (By the way, this thread is not a troll thread. I am completely serious about what I'm saying) and it is fun when you get that noob to believe you so that brings me to my point. Members claim they hate trolling, but when someone makes an epic troll thread, they immediately disregard their previous beliefs and support the troll because it's too funny.
Now, that was the last on my list and I am sure there are 20 others that I never mentioned, but this is just a start. I love Newschoolers sometimes and other times I very much dislike it, so this is not a hate thread on the site. Also, I am not "mad bro". I'm not very mad at all, I'm just basically proving a point.
Thank you and good night.
