Engineering students

Im starting my sophomore year at Utah, and absolutely love it. Majoring in biomed engineering and I love the major a lot. Its hard as shit of course but I find that they develop you really young into developing ideas (what engineering is) and I am already in the process of getting my first patent. The profs in biomed have been awesome and are super helpful in getting a job. if youre going engineering, get ready to work your ass off, but its definitely worth it, im extremely confident i will be staying in the major. Utah is awesome too, biking, hiking, longboarding, skiing, lots of chill kids, and now PAC12, really is the perfect school (for me). Party life is actually a lot better than what it is made out to be as well

I go to University of Alabama for Aerospace Engineering, the honors college has a really close feel and all the facilities are really nice. Tons of intern opertunities with NASA too. It wasn't where I saw myself when I first started applying to schools, but I got a full ride so it will be nice to have some money saved for once I have to pay for grad school.

I mean, i guess i'm pretty good at math, took ap calc this year, had an alright time in it and got a B, but I didn't really like it
also i haven't taken physics yet, taking it next year, so not really sure how that will go

Sophomore at Iowa State University, in the Mechanical Engineering program.

The first two years will probably be the hardest youll ever take, I heard it gets a little easier after the dynamics and all your math is done. Depending on the college, your degree will either me more theory oriented or application oriented. If youre more of a hands on person then the theory stuff isnt for you. Iowa State is more theory oriented but I'm doing SAE club and letting my internships take the application stuff.

I struggled this year and almost switched majors a few times since im more of a technical, hands on person, but SAE club really helps and i hope to get some manufacturing job or internship that will also help fill the gaps.

That being said, its a hard damn program, but its worth it in the long run.

just finished my sophomore year at UMass Amherst majoring in Chemical Engineering.  It has been exactly what I expected it to be; very hard and abstract.  Math is easy and the highest you need to go to is Diff Eq's; you do need to teach yourself linear algebra for junior year though.  I chose this major because i prefer chemistry over physics aka chemical vs mechanical.  I'm glad i chose it despite the fact that only 18% of the original freshman class graduated this past year. It will be worth it i the long run, just do it.

took it this year, its not that I didn't like it i just wasn't awake for all of it, I had a habit of just sleeping for senior year, the part I was awake for came real easy to me though.

starting my masters in electrical engineering in the fall at CU...freshman and sophomore year will be a lot of bullshit that you think you wont ever need...but turns out all that math is useful. and its not that hard if you just put a little time into it
