How do you get the handle off line pin poles to cut them down?

I've unscrewed the top and bottom of the handle but I just can't pull the handle off. I saw some people the other day who had cut theirs down. Help please. Thanks.

they do come in 36 inch so you probs dont need to (unless you bought longer poles) but i think putting the handle in boiling water loosens the rubber so it comes off.

might be wrong tho

use boiling water or a heat gun, be careful wityh the heat gun tho, you could burn the grip

Boil up a pot of water and stick the grips in, then twist and pull after a minuter or two.
