Ripped my binding out of one of my Atomic Bentchetlers this weekend....called customer service and apparently they don't stand by their product unless you have a receipt from when you bought them...

Last time I checked, I could return a defective product directly to a company and they made things right, apologizing for the inconvenience that said product may have caused.

I'm just lucky that it happened in lift-accessed, mellow terrain, in warm and sunny weather...

Thanks for NOTHING atomic - you've REALLY impressed me and all of my friends today...really keeps my faith in the ski industry.

Someone correct me if i'm wrong but I think pretty much every company states in their warranty that they will not cover bindings being ripped out of a ski. It could have been a bad mounting job so i would bring them to the shop that mounted your skis and try to work something out.

can't you contact the shop you bought them from and have them email/fax you a receipt? most every shop keeps sales like this on record.

Never talk to the company directly for warranty disputs, always go to the shop you bought them at. Much more personal experience, and they'll be able to get things done for you. Also, pretty much every company requires a receipt because they don't warranty products after they've been transfered (i.e. sold after being used), another reason they like to deal with the shops directly. That being said, binding rips outs really only get warrantied if the core is rotten, otherwise you'd have to get them re-mounted. good luck.

You're bitching about a pretty standard warranty policy. If you buy skis used, good luck finding a company that will take them in, its usually only the original owner thats gets that deal. Next time, read.

thats okay bentchentlers are terrible, get something stiffer and less worthless on groomers, like one lifes. you'll be happy the atomics broke.

take them to that shop and ask for heli coils.
