Thats how much beer Canadians bought last year. Seems like a large number. I would like to see some comparitive statistics to beer drinking around the world. Here is the article

Yes but that takes in to consideration the people over 19 who do not drink so it is truly more per person who actually consumes beer.

its interesting though.

you can go to Target in the US and get a 30 for $13
or you can go to a local gas station and get the same 30 for $30

it sucks because its much harder to buy beer at Target

it's not actually that much, It's just that our beer is incredibly overpriced.

some stat:

in Canada we drink 68.3 litres of beer per person per year

in United states it's 81.6 L/person/year

in Germany 110 L/person/year

Ireland 131.1 L/person/year

Czech Rep. 158.6 L/person/year


yet we still probably pay more per person per year on beer.

in canada you can only buy beer at designated liquor stores. its cheaper at government run and more expensive at private.

depends on the state, can't buy beer in target or wal mart here in PA. Government liquor stores for booze and private sellers for beer. No beer in gas stations here either.

30 rack of pbr is about 17 bones though.

Cheapest beer in Utah is at grocery stores. Right now you can get mill best for 13.99 or high life/pbr/busch for like 15.99. Gas stations here tend to be 2 or 3 more dollars a 30. luckly, i live two blocks from smiths.

What normal beer do you drink to get drunk?


Let me guess, bud light, keystone light, any other light beer?

Light beer = Utah beer. its 4% by volume, 3.2% by weight.

Now if you drink pbr or heavy beer on the reg then yeah there is .5-1% difference, but thats 1 beer difference overall. I can drink alot and a 12 pack still can get me pretty drunk. So STFU about utah beer.

Hahaha what is that suppose to mean? Are you implying i don't drink real beer? because last time i check, ive drank my fair share of microbrews but i prefer to spend 15 dollars on a 30 pack vs 15 dollars on a 12 pack, if i could afford to drink good beer all the time i would.

And to shit head^ it has nothing to do with being bad ass, ive just been legally able to drink for a year and half and have travelled a bunch since i turned 21 and buy beer when i go out to eat and ive tried alot of different beers. but yeah, im definitely trying to be bad ass...

PBR bottles aren't crazy expensive here, but still overpriced. Our apartment is only missing one bottlecap to have a complete deck.

Actually kind of funny how prices change from place to place. Keystone Light is expensive in State College, and pretty cheap in West Chester. Same state, only 3 hour difference.

The beer I usualy drink is 5,5%. That means 1,5% more by volume and that means if we both drink 1 beer you will only drink the equivalent of 0,73 of one of my beer..... make it x12 if you drink a 12 pack thats not even 9 of my beers more like 3 beer difference overall. I never drink light becose of that, you feel so full after 12 beers and not realy drunk.
