Ski Jacket Material/Fabric
I am starting to work on making my own ski jacket and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for fabrics to use for the outer lining of ski jackets. I have plenty of fleece for the inside and thinsulate layers, but I am sort of stuck on what to use for the outer layer. I have been thinking about using Polartec Power shield, but if anyone else has any experience I would love suggestions on other fabrics/materials.
goretex? idk dude.
i'll nose press your box if you lipslide my rail

dust the snow off your skis, and head out for the chair, and it doesn't matter
that you failed a test, didn't get the girl, or that your life is on a one way
trip down the shitter, your world is right for the next couple of hours."
then again, they are kinda slutty, but i dont look at it that way, more like an opportunity that you need to put forth minimal effort to gain the full advantage of
Goretex seems to use the majority of their fabrics for their own products. They don't seem to distribute to many manufacturers, and i haven't found anyone selling goretex fabric. I guess I can just try out some of the polartec stuff.
If you are anywhere besides colorado where its below freezing 90+% of the ski season then use gortex. The standard mm rating is just stupid. I won't ever buy another jacket without gortex or similar material.
