that's pretty awesome, provided he actually is good enough to play. but lets face it, even if he isn't, he can ride the bench and help the team sell tickets..
i wouldn't be surprised if he were a good player though. lots of professional athletes grow up good at a lot of things. it's rare that you find a young guy grow up exclusively practicing one thing. they often choose what they go pro in and give that extra push for, and some even do a couple things professionally (bo jackson, deion sanders).
