Growing out of skis

At the beggining of the season I bought 166 Afterbangs but I grew so now there probably around eye level. Im now 5'8 135 pounds and 16 going on 17 in august. Do you think they will last me another season or should I just try to sell them over the summer?

i would ski the rest of the season on what you have now and then try and get a new pair/sell your old ones

171 would be perfect for you, if you feel/think you will still be growing anymore, go 177!

I rode 164s for two years up until this year and i made the jump to 171 (im 5'8 and 18 going on 19 years old)

im 5'11" and 155lbs and i ride 166 abangs. i am like the only person that likes short skis though. i say keep them, everone else will say get a new pair. if you need to sell them do it on here. kids will be like ZOMGGGZZZZZZKFDLKFLAIOWPYWK!!!!!!!!!!! LINE AFTERBANGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and you should sell them easily

i dont know, its all about how you feel and what you ride. im just a little bit bigger and heavier than you and i ride 169 k2s with some tip and tail rocker. i think youre ok. if you like technical rail stuff you def ok, but for big jumps and stuff you may want to reconsider

I'm 5'10 and I ride 180's, But I also have a pair of 155s that I take out fairly often as my rock/screwaround ski and they are fun, just not my style.

I probably ski 70% rails and 30% jumps

I just started this season and I dont do anything over 30 ft anyway so it sounds like the 166's will be good for another season if i don't grow much more. Plus the feel pretty natural on my feet. definitely trading out after that tho

im not trying to tell you how to spend your money but after switching a shorter ski to a longer ski, ive found rails alot more comfortable. feels like you have more to work with. I almost never hit jumps, just trannys. almost a pure rail skier.

I'm 5' 7" and i ride 188's in the park. People tell me smaller is better for park. I slap them in the face with my extra 25mm and say can you do this? *FUCK BITCHES RIGHT AFTER LAST STEP*

yeah I was your age when I switched to 180cm park skis and 185cm pow skis (rockered). exact same weight and height (still am). 177 is a perfect size. I used to ski on 177 nordicas, loved em.

im 5' 7" and i ride 151 fischer addicts, i grew like a weed right after i bought em at the biginning of the 09-10 season! they are wayyy too small for me!

we have the same exact dimensions. 5'11" and 166 ar7's is what i rock and i only use those for pipe and free riding this year my park ski is a 157 el rey.

short skis are where its at, so much easier to maneuver

hahah im 5 11 and im probably gunna get the a bangs in 184 next year lol. i love long skiis. ive ridden a 190 on groomers before. thats a little different but i like it lol idk why.... im also like 185 so im a big boy

agreed im about 5'8 and i ski 176s so not as big of a difference as you have but people always tell me i should get shorter skis. i usually just piss in their face

A friend of mine is 5'10 or 11" and he just upgraded a week or so ago from 158 Rossi (money issue). So, if you can do it, and you find them more comfortable to ahve longer skis, go for it, but you don't need longer skis, you can still hit jumps rails and boxes, just maybe a little sketchier.
