Sorry, but they are no longer under Quiksilver. Rossignol, Dynastar, Lange and Look and Kerma are all part of The Rossignol Group. However, they are not made in the same factory. Dynastar makes their skis in the Chamonix valley and Rossi's are pressed elsewhere.
As for Dynastar skis...they are awesome. They held up better than most anything I have ever ridden. To those that break them or are ripping out edges and whatnot...you are probably doing it wrong! Try to ski with a little finesse!
The Sultan series was not made to be a super agile, fun, poppy ski...If you have not noticed that most middle aged or older ski instructors are the ones on these. They are meant to be an easy going all around ski. Something that is not going to punish you if you get lazy on it at the end of the day.
To the person that said the Huge trouble is not enough to float you in powder... you are doing it wrong! The Huge Trouble is my preferred powder ski of choice...(the older zero camber model before it went to rocker). I have a pair of Chopsticks (for sale if anyone is interested) that I really am not a fan of. Think about where skiing cam from and what people skied powder on before your 130mm underfoot beasts.
And lastly to the person that said the Huge dump skied like a tank.... Get those puppies up to speed and charge hard on them...They are amazing if you can handle 'em.
Hate hate hate...Why do so many people hate? Are the graphics not cool enough? Is their sponsored team not carrying enough big names (not sure if they have any left?)?
I recommend getting out on a pair of Dynastars.
