Looking for advice....

So... taking a poll here...
My ex boyfriend upon me breaking up with him decided that he didn't want ANYTHING that I'd given him over the 5 years we were together, which includes a pair of '07 Seths and a pair of '08 ARGs that I gave as Christmas presents. I have held them at my place for a month, and given him the option to pick them up if he changed his mind....but it seems to me that a month is plenty of time to decide you want to go skiing regardless of the purchaser of your skis.

Do I
a)keep holding on to them
b)give them to deserving friends on a loan basis
c)give them to derserving friends for keeps
d)sell them

What are your thoughts?

either you really suck, or he's really dramatic. or both. whatever not my business. anyway..i'd just do whatever's appropriate (so give/loan them to a friend if a situation like that is around, if not, sell them). i'd leave him one last FRIENDLY/casual message telling him if he doesnt want them that's fine, you'll do something with them but he should know it's his "last chance"

pft. you know what, my ex did that to me with his xbox. not to mention he also left his drumset at my house for over a month after the breakup, and then a bunch of other CRAP. when he finally came to get his drums i was like do you want the xbox and he, i have witnesses, said no. HOWEVER. a few months later, he's off my fb, we haven't spoke, low and behold, the cocksucker wants the xbox back. so i think he harassed me for a few months. constantly. and eventually i got the red ring of death(in other words the xbox sort of died) and so i was trying to sell it instead of fixing it because i just didn't have the money or energy to care...and so he was apparently stalking me and found my post on kijiji(like craigslist) and was like sooo i see you're selling the xbox, i was like yeah. you gave it to me, and blah blah. eventually he bought it back for 100$, and coincidently took a bunch of games that weren't his but my brothers....

case in point...if you don't want them, sell them. they are now your possessions. if you think he might want them eventually, then wait, or just dump it all at his house. it's not wrong if you do sell it.

Thanks everyone! Yes, 5 year relationships can only end ugly apparently (and the story of the end is way too complicated and long-winded, but we are both at fault and I definitely recognize that), he is very overdramatic, and I tried to give him the opportunity to not be an ass. Personally I see no reason to get rid of stuff like that, I kept the jewelry and pictures and whatnot (I mean, the memories are still good, and there is no reason to be mad at the gifts in my opinion). I might give him a final shot (said in a nice and mature manner) to claim them (again, why take his hate of me out on some fantastic pow skis?) then they will be up for grabs :-)

easy to sell em... be the bigger person and take em to his house and make sure he gets em. whether he wants them or not is up to him. they are a present and technically not yours. look down the road and you can probobly see him running his mouth about how you sold his skis and fucked him over. if you bought them with the intention of never getting any benefit from them personally then he should get them back regardless. to me its more about maintaining a good name then making a buck. its always better to take the high road.

Shot him an email saying that he has a few days to claim them or else I sell them. I am trying to be the bigger person here and give him a last chance, since I did buy them as gifts for him. I will keep you all posted if they go on the market.
ARGs are 185, 133 underfoot. Used, but good condition, include bindings
Seths are used and a bit dinged up but definitely skiable (include bindings I can tune them pre-selling them, plus I wouldn't even "sell" them, someone can just pay for shipping for them), 179 and 98 underfoot.
Not 100% sure on bootsize, but he's a 9-91/2 in regular shoes, to give you an idea on where the bindings are set at.

a lot of the guys here are being a bit stupid when they say to keep the skis. ive been through this situation before. he's saying he doesn't want any of the stuff you gave him because he needs to get you out of his mind. He doesn't want to get hung up on you. He's also trying to make a point (whether its mature or not is irrelevant): "Nothing matters to me as much as you, not even these skis and skiing is my life etc etc etc".

My advice? Drop them off at his place, if possible when he's not home. Call his mum and get her to take them. I certainly wouldn't sell them or give them away. Its just going to make him feel shit.

The best way for him to get over you is to feel good about himself. Explain to him that you want him to enjoy his life and that it will help him to take the skis back. Tell him you gave him those skis in good faith and that you'd really appreciate it if he used them and enjoyed them.
